Q3 2024 focused on making existing tools intelligent. We taught AI to learn from your documentation, gave managers insights into team performance, and fixed the small stuff that wastes hours.

TL;DR: AI auto-replies tap into your knowledge base for accurate responses, agent performance stats reveal how your team uses AI, and executive reports track new rating trends to catch problems early.

July

Executive Report gets new rating

Added the new rating metric showing average rating from fresh reviews during your selected period. Tracks whether recent updates are performing well.

Simple math: 1,000 new ratings in a month gets averaged to show your trend line. Data matches rating analysis page exactly. Quick-jump buttons on every metric let you dive into rating analysis, reviews feed, or semantic analysis.

Available instantly for App Store. Google Play needs source connect since data comes from your console.

AI Auto-replies with Knowledge Base (closed beta)

Upload your FAQs, help articles, or internal docs. AI uses that product knowledge to craft responses. Available for Enterprise customers.

How it works:

  • Go to reply kit, click knowledge base
  • Add your knowledge base with a clear name
  • Upload .txt, .pdf, .docx, .md, or .html files
  • Select which apps it applies to
  • Choose the knowledge base in automation rules

AI searches your documents during reply generation and applies relevant information. Each document processes in 5-30 seconds with clear status: processing, ready, or failed.

Current limits: Works for negative reviews (1-3 stars) longer than 10 characters. Short reviews don't give AI enough context to search effectively.

Reply Translation button

Added translate button in the reply box that opens Google Translate. Works for generated replies and pending approvals. Useful for checking AI replies in languages you don't speak.

AI Summary Alerts get granular

AI summary alerts now support multiple semantic tags. Choose specific tags for focused alerts, or skip tags for overall summaries.

Notifications Center remake

See all product updates anytime plus highlighted announcements.

August

Agent Performance AI statistics

Managers get visibility into how teams use AI. Three metrics:

AI direct replies: responses sent straight from AI without editing. Shows who trusts automation completely.

AI-assisted replies: responses where agents used AI but made edits, or used AI tools like improve or shorter on manual replies. Shows who uses AI as a productivity tool.

AI summary for agents: analyzes performance data and identifies top 3 positive and top 3 negative points. Written in plain language, it highlights contributors, improvement areas, and risks.

Managing dozens of agents means important patterns disappear into spreadsheets. AI summary surfaces what actually matters.

Smarter AI automation

AI now uses varied intros. Added stricter knowledge base rules so AI uses your uploaded docs more consistently. Support links from KB files appear automatically.

Automation Rule tracking

Hover over automation author to see which rule triggered the reply. Click to jump straight to it.

Amazon Appstore reality

Maintaining current support. Amazon discontinued Appstore for Android on August 20, 2025, while Microsoft ended Windows support in March 2025. We're focusing on growing platforms instead.

Current support: app addition on all plans, metadata collection, and top reviews.

September

Trustpilot Integration

Add Trustpilot as a data source! Available on all plans, including free plan users. This expands AppFollow beyond app stores into broader review management.

Full feature support includes:

  • Reply to Trustpilot reviews directly from AppFollow
  • AI summaries and sentiment analysis
  • Semantic tagging with AI grouping reviews by topic
  • Automation rules for auto-replies
  • Template usage for common responses

You can manage app store reviews and Trustpilot reviews in a single workspace. Set automation rules based on conditions you define, get instant sentiment scores to identify problems before they escalate, and group reviews by topic to spot trends and address issues systematically.

You don't need to switch between tools or lose context when moving from App Store reviews to Trustpilot feedback.

In-App Events on Timeline

Events now show on app update timeline. See start/end dates, descriptions, media, and active countries across all regions.

New multi-choice in-app events filter tracks specific campaigns. Events show even if they're not live in your selected country.

App Store Connect API Improvement

Apple now allows customer support role API keys. These keys only access reviews. Create a customer support key and start replying to App Store reviews immediately.

Note: only for replying. Reporting concerns or accessing ASO data still needs invite email connection.

Afterword

Q3 made existing tools even more useful. Knowledge base transforms automation for Enterprise customers, agent performance gives managers real visibility, new rating catches problems early - all designed to improve your workflows and get superior review management.

FAQs

How does AppFollow's AI knowledge base improve automated review responses?

AppFollow's AI knowledge base lets Enterprise customers upload FAQs, help articles, and internal docs that AI uses to craft accurate responses. The AI searches your uploaded documents during generation and applies specific product information to each reply. The system accepts .txt, .pdf, .docx, .md, and .html files. Currently in closed beta for Enterprise customers.

What metrics does AppFollow's agent performance tracking provide?

AppFollow tracks three AI usage metrics. AI direct replies shows responses sent without human editing. AI-assisted replies tracks responses where agents used AI but made edits, or used AI tools on manual replies. AI summary for agents analyzes performance data and identifies top 3 positive and negative points in team performance, highlighting contributors and improvement areas in plain language. This gives managers visibility into how teams use automation.

What is the new rating metric in AppFollow's executive report?

New rating shows average rating from fresh reviews during your selected period. Helps track whether recent app updates are performing well. If you get 1,000 new ratings in a month, new rating calculates the average to create a trend line of app performance. Available instantly for App Store apps. Google Play apps need source connect since data comes from Google Play Console. Quick-jump buttons let you dive into rating analysis for distribution breakdowns and daily averages.
