Samsung Family Hub

The Fridge and app are good so far. Right away I am wanting to be able to edit photo placement on the family board from the app and can’t seem to. I’ll be updating this review as we use both more. Possibly to 5 stars if I could edit the family board from my iPhone. Thanks!

Imagine if the Samsung dimwits presented Family Flub to Steve Jobs or Elon Musk. Wouldn’t you love to be in the room for that fun fest. Not only would they be immediately fired, but they would likely fire everyone at Samsung that greenlite this idiotic software. One can achieve the same effect of Family Flub by taking a standard refrigerator, grabbing your 10 year old iPad out of the sock drawer, and duct taping it to the frig. The reason why this software is so bad is simple, Apple does not make iOS for appliances. As a result, there has not been any software or innovative ideas for Samsung to steal in this space. They had to make this one up on their own, and it unfortunately shows. Let’s hope Apple decides to move into this space - they will not - and we might stand a chance of getting some decent software.

It makes it easy to know what we need when we goes to the grocery store. If my husband is out getting stuff for the yard , he looks at the app and stops to get what we need. So it has really made our lives easier. Especially during COVID-19 he went daily since our grocery stores were almost empty and it hard to find a lot of stuff we needed, so him having a list on his phone was great.

This app has become obsolete and left my smart fridge without a working alternative. It seems as though ever since I upgraded my iPhone software to iOS 13, the app no longer works. It stays in the cycle of “Gathering family information..." and then comes back with "Unable to connect to server. Check your network connection and try again." It stays in that loop and never allows me to log in, even though there is nothing wrong with my WiFi connection. I can no longer upload new photos or anything else to my smart fridge.

Love the Family Hub! So great that every family member can add to the shopping list as needed. And unless I missed the option I wish the app had the ability to print out my list.
