Masse fills a big void in the internet shopping game. Rather than rely on random peoples’ opinions or endless lists of editor’s favorites, it is so refreshing to instead get recs from people I know and trust. It’s a beautiful app, easy to use, and helps sift through all the noise to find things you will buy and actually use. I can’t believe this didn’t already exist, and I’m so impressed by how well they’ve made it work. As someone who generally hates shopping and loves recommendations from friends, I’m super into Masse and I have no doubt it’s going to be huge.

As someone who is easily susceptible to marketing but absolutely can’t afford to try flashy new products all the time, this is the app I needed. There’s a lot of recommendations on skincare and makeup, which are two of the areas that are just inundated with options but very few that work well. Aside from getting recommendations, Ive always loved sharing my favorite finds with friends, so having a forum specifically to do that is just plain fun. I do find the app to be a little buggy. I’m not always able to add products from websites, or if I am, it won’t recognize the photo of the actual product, but rather other irrelevant images throughout the webpage. Sometimes as I’m proofreading/editing my recommendation for autocorrect errors, the cursor gets confused and continuously jumps to the end of the paragraph. I’d like the ability to edit my responses and my profile recommendations after the fact. I also accidentally created a blank recommendation list on my profile that I can’t seem to delete. That being said, I’m only taking the time to write these observations out because I absolutely LOVE the concept of the app and hope to see it get better and more helpful with time! I find a word-of-mouth review to be invaluable. In a world of paid advertising and fake reviews, it’s hard to know what to trust. For this reason, Masse has become my go-to for finding buying tips and seeking validation for purchases. Reviews come from people I directly know and trust or people they trust. Contributing my own recommendations on products I love is how the cycle remains mutually beneficial ... plus, who doesn’t love giving their opinion!? For me, Masse is both a starting and ending point for all my purchases.

Love this up, love the community where everybody immobilizes to help me get recommendations for things I need to buy! Frankly, I am sick of companies and people trying to push me their products when it’s not what I need. Also, it’s just fun to browse and see what people are recommending :) even if I don’t need the product, I enjoy seeing what other people use in their day to day.

A fantastic and super helpful app to ask for recommendations from your own network, not just strangers. Also great if you love recommending products to your friends. The app is easy to use with an Instagram like feed and a catalog that enables you to search for any product and add products that aren’t there! Get ready to spend hours enabling your’s and others shopping addictions.
