Different but still very good for property search - recommend giving it a try

Zoopla have now become the laughing stock of the digital property market in the UK. They have recently changed their valuations model to a new automated model with algorithms that are not fit for purpose! The app used to take into consideration extensions, improvements, local features, micro as well macro market modelling! Alas that has been replaced with a basic index linked model which is based only on land registry sale prices, many of which are missing which results in a model that delivers Higher valuations for semi detached rather than detached! The flaws are so obvious as they even vary from their own remortgage value shown against each property by as much as 35%! When challenged they will just try and defend their new model with a standard reply, just like Coca Cola did when they changed the recipe! Well we all know what happened there don’t we! So Zoopla wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late as many Estate Agents that I have spoken to are already planning to leave your inaccurate services as your valuations model contradicts greatly with their marketing prices! Arrogance will never prevail!

Zoopola is great for property information however their new app is poorly designed. It doesn’t allow searches based on map area (which is handy as you don’t always know the postcode). Also when you search a specific area it’s loading another cities towns, something definitely wrong in the app. Also you ask it not to show you shared ownership properties and prices, but it still shows you these. What’s the point of the toggle then? Please improve your app interface. You loosing out on potential sales as a result.

I know its a preview and maybe the design is just a rough demo but i cant see the map, it doesnt show price reductions on the list of properties after I search. When I am in the property I have to click again to see the listing history (it slides in from some unknow reason via some awful sliding menu). On the old app it is on the same page. Technically it works perfect and is fast

Freaking solid app! You should be an example on how to make a proper house search engine.
