Weight Gurus

Con: wants/requires an EMAIL & PASSWORD to setup Once setup app and my WiFi scale have worked as advertised for the last 2 months. HOWEVER: it seems to wait hours to transfer the data into HEALTH, unless you go to their app and refresh manually, then it instantly sends the data into iOS Health. Weight is accurate, the other body numbers are hard to independently verify. The scale is an IOT device, if possible keep it off your regular WiFi access and only put it on a “guest” ssid in case they are jacked at the hardware or software level. I wish the company would state how they plan to make sure the app and the scale and their SERVERS are safe. Independent audit would be great.

I absolutely love the scale. For the price and the ease of the wi-fi syncing, this scale is great. The app could use some updates and then I would absolutely love it. Suggestions: 1) Bone mass doesn't show up on the app, I know the measurement doesn't change day to day but sometimes I don't have my glasses on when I weigh myself & it's hard to read the display. 2) Would be nice to be able to set different goals besides just weight. I'd like to see goals for body fat, muscle mass and BMI. 3) Wish the graphs were in line instead of bar graphs, just my personal preference. But either way it would be nice to have labels of the actual weight on the chart instead of having to guess. 4) Would be nice to have the time of your weigh-in and not just the date. It's always a good idea to weigh yourself at the same time. 5) Would be nice to be able to add notes to your weigh-ins with maybe even the ability to add pics for people who like to track progress with pics. 6) I don't like that I have to go into the weight history to view all the other metrics besides weight. Again, not everyone is watching their weight but that's the only option you have to view on the home screen. If you want to know your change in body fat, you have to go to weight history to view or the tracking graphs and guess the numbers. I hope the developers read the reviews and make the app 10x better. Then everything about the scale & app would be great!

I bought this scale because I did not want to have to manually update. I have had it for three years and the sync feature is horrible. Persistently loses connection, does not sync, and is frustrating to trouble shoot. Weight and scale features great. Sync and update features are troubled and frustrating. The bluetooth and picture feature for syncing seem messed up.

After setting everything up, app fails to load. It repeatedly throws an error and says “Error. Unable to load app.” I have only been able to get it open 3 times out of the past 30 tries. The scale works well, but this app needs to be fixed...

Love the scale and the concept, but the bluetooth is very buggy. Prior versions I would step on the scale and once it started looking for the phone to sync I would open the app and if it wouldn’t sync I would quit and open again and it usually would sync the 2nd or 3rd time after closing and reopening the app. With the latest update, it doesn’t want to sync at all. The only way I got it to trigger is go into the bluetooth settings in the app and go to add the scale again and it will kick in and talk to the scale and import the setting then. Its worked twice so far, needs more testing. But would be great to see it work reliably instead of having to find ways to get it to sync! Please fix! I emailed support 2 days ago and haven’t heard anything back! One thing I don’t like is I have been using it for a few months now and when you do a All view for the graph it just displays bars and not a graph anymore. I’d like to see a large graph showing my progress like the monthly view. It used to display that way, but I hit so many months and it changed the display or the app got updated. But the most important thing is getting bluetooth to work correctly! It has to be an app problem of some sort, don’t see why they can’t figure this out. Should be able to open the app, step on the scale and it should sync without issue after the scale is done getting your measurements. Please fix!
