The College Fair

I really love the concept of this app, as I think it’s a smart and efficient way to discover your future career and look for colleges that are right to you and stand out. However, I have been having an issue with it once I downloaded it. In order to save any colleges or careers, I need to complete my profile, but when I try to enter in my mailing address (which is required), my address won’t show up. I’ve tried to report the problem twice, but didn’t get any contacts from support since. I really want to continue using this app, but in order for me to do so, I hope that this issue will get looked into and resolved soon.

Very similar to other services that allow you to explore careers, majors, and colleges based on personal recommendations. However, this needs something to set it apart from other websites/apps that do the same thing. Maybe a tinder-like interface that allows you to browse schools or careers and see what they're like at a glance, and then be given recommendations for other schools or jobs that are similar. They could then use this information to build a profile for you with all sorts of analysis based on what you chose.

But amazing app to use.

As a College & Career Counselor, I know it can be so challenging to find out about options for college, careers, financial aid etc. What I love about The College Fair App is that everything you need is all in one place, organized intuitively, making it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. And best of all, the content loads really quickly, making the app easier and faster to use than looking at college websites on my laptop. I love that users can see their estimated admission chances right in each school's profile page. And as far as I know, the College Fair App is the only college search app that has actual college counselors available to answer questions about college planning. From my perspective, the text-based coaching is the best part of the app, because so many high school students have only minimal access to a guidance counselor, as most high school counselor unfortunately don't have enough time to provide individualized attention to students seeking assistance with college planning. This app fills that gap. And the new interface is really cool, with the regular home screen, and with the lists screen. Really impressive. Highly recommended.

I downloaded this app a while ago, scrolled around out of curiosity. After a few minutes I found this app was very helpful! I could use my gpa and standardized test scores to see my probability of acceptance to my prospective college choices. Not only does the app give you an idea of out of state and in state fees that are broken down to a point, but, they also give you statistics like: graduation rate, men to women ratio, diversity, etc. I overall love this app and I look into it every day to help with my college choices. They even send you notifications about the latest news, scholarships, and even about how certain majors function in the "real world". The app takes a lot of stress out of the college choice process. It brings easy to comparing schools while seeing all the major statistics you'd be Googling for hours otherwise. You can even view schools under certain topics some find more important that others (i.e. Location, attractive student body, school spirit, etc.). I would suggest this to every single potential college student to use this app to help them decide on what college is going to be the best fit for them.
