NHS Food Scanner

This is a most useful and great App to use. My little one loves scanning products but we do find a number of products won't scan which is disappointing. Most branded items will scan, others appear as a blurred image or a message comes up saying no product information or words to that effect ...hence 3 stars instead of 5. A great idea that can certainly be expanded especially with a broader product base and more information provided on that terms of ingredients. Expand to other products such as skin, hair, soaps etc ...another App for this ;)

Personally, I think this app is underrated! How I found this app was via school. We went on a trip to the police station and two ladies were doing a talk about sugar and salt. I listened carefully to what they were saying and then they showed us the app and I decided that I might get it. The next day, I found out my cousin (who is the same age as me) had the talk at school as well and got the app on her phone. I downloaded it and started scanning everything!! However I scanned mini blueberry muffins and it said it was strawberry trifle!! Please could you fix that developers! I have used this since it came out and I couldn’t be without it now! Its so easy to check something in the supermarket before buying and its shocking to learn what’s hidden in our foods! Also my grandad uses this when buying food for my diabetic nan. He used to spend hours trying to work out what he could buy and feed her and spent a fortune on diabetic food. This has changed his life and should be recommended to every person with diabetes!!!!

This is a handy app which lets you know everything you need to know about products. I have noticed though that there are a few products that haven’t been added yet like some drinks I like I can scan it there’s no information on them yet. I’ve also noticed when you try to scan some barcodes it just doesn’t register them at all which is annoying so it would be a good idea if you could type the product in manually like some other apps do.

I found out about this app at school really and I wanted to try it out and when installed it I had no idea how to use this app so I was all over the place when I found out how to use it I was very pleased with myself and the app to because you can actually always find out how much sugar sat fat salt is in your food and how much sugar you are eating so I definitely recommend this app to anyone who wants to stay fit and healthy
