NHS Easy Meals

I downloaded this app along with the coach to 5k and drink free days thinking I would use it briefly then ditch it like i always do. But this app is so handy. It’s like using tinder for food, just keep swiping until something takes your fancy, then dive in! It’s one handy place to keep all recipes, ingredients and instructions to cook healthy meals. I love it.

The main flaw I had with this app comes down to 2 issues: The lack of variety of each meal The serving sizes More often than not, I’m just trying to make a meal for myself and myself alone, what I found however was that a large amount of recipes are considered to serve 2–6 people. This isn’t too bad an issue as you can always reduce the ingredients to your portion size, but it would be nice to state the number of servings needed and receive the amount of ingredients needed The lack of meal variety is also a minor issue, as it does provide a decent list, but the list is short enough that you would run out of recipes in a few weeks. This issue could easily be fixed by allowing for community additions, and further official verification from the app makers as to which meals would follow a healthy guideline. 4/5 could do better but a great app nonetheless

Easy Meals is an amazing app because everyday, you look at the menu and you choose what you want to cook and eat. It tells you what ingredients you need and how to cook the meal. It also gives you a shopping list that you can fill out. This is amazing! I definitely recommend it!

I was looking for an app that helps managing meals planning in a practical way as well as a healthy one. I used it and enjoyed it. Yet i couldn’t stop thinking it was missing an important feature (weekly meals planner) and got frustrated by the navigation. It will be great also to have more meals options. In a nutshell, great job and carry on!

I’ve tried a few recipes so far and had no disasters - which is saying something with my culinary track record! In 4 weeks I have lost half a stone and lowered my blood pressure, largely thanks to your advice and recipes.
