Keyto - Keto Tracker + Diet

I tended to stray from my weight and health goals daily, promising myself... ok... I’ll start again tomorrow. Well, hundreds and hundreds of tomorrow’s later, I saw this on my Instagram. So, being the tech geek that I am, I ordered it. It was so much fun and it made me an honest woman within a week. I can’t hide anymore with my new toy! It’s fun to use it after eating to see what affects my Ketosis. I feel wonderful! I’m losing unwanted pounds, and I’m having fun, while learning to be true to myself. Good thing. I also got a Keyto box full of incredible snacks and foods. The app is a great resource of data I never knew. Loving this!!! Thank you! Update: still loving this product! Honestly I can’t say enough good things. As someone who has used ketosis for weight loss and lifestyle I love the fact that it lets you know right where you are from the start of your journey on. So when you’re feeling bad in the beginning it’s easy to look at your number and see exactly where you are and it gives you motivation to keep going. The app is incredible, lots of tips and helpful information. It’s easy to use, accurate and so much cleaner than strips. The other testers that use your breath don’t test properly and do not use the proper aspects of your breath for the most accurate reading. All in all, it’s easy, convenient and accurate. What more could you ask for.

I hit a weight loss plateau despite a very high volume of exercise (training for a half ironman). I needed a way to break my carb addiction in order to reach a better weight for racing and training -- I decided to try a Keto diet. The way to be successful in a Keto diet involves monitoring ketone levels in your blood and I was not excited about the idea of taking regular blood samples or peeing on strips. A friend told me about the Keyto breath monitoring device and app and that made all the difference! The app and device are easy to use and you can accurately track your ketosis status. My wife and I are both using it and love the recipes we've found on the app. If you are trying the Keto lifestyle this is what you need!

It takes so long to heat up and calibrate that I’m often off doing something else. Then, with only a vibration on the phone (yes, I have sounds turned off), NOT on the device, I often miss the start blowing prompt. And then have to start the lengthy calibration process over again. Frustrating. Also, the app won’t work, and the Keyto device doesn’t either, if you’re not connected to WiFi. They are still connected via Bluetooth, and should function even if not communicating your score to “home base”. I still love it and will continue to use it. But would appreciate it if the powers that be would address the above two issues.

The Keyto app is really lame. So let’s just forget that the companion device is a cheap piece of mass produced plastic and deal with just the buggy app. This was originally marketed as a easy approach to helping people start the keto diet and maintain ketosis. Promises of an app that will help you get to and maintain ketosis is a dismal failure!!! The app only contains a handful of articles, FAQs and pretty lame community discussion area. There is no real interaction between the companion device and you as an individual. The app doesn’t tell you which foods you should eat to kick yourself up a level in ketosis… It doesn’t even have a food journal to evaluate what you may be consuming that is causing you to fail at getting into ketosis. Something you would think would be a no brainer! I mean no food Journal is such huge fail!!! Essentially all this is, is a digital version of a Ketosis pee strip. It doesn’t tell you anything significant, or how to get into ketosis on an individual level. Something their marketing leads you to believe is going to happen with the less than magical pairing of tech and app. -No food journal-fail -No individual evaluation-fail -Buggy software that doesn’t work with larger font-fail -Poor content-fail, (you can find more online) -Lame social community-fail -Lack of individual guidance-fail -Glorified Digital Pee trip-success.
