Four Last Things

Loved the surreal themes, mashed-up artwork and music but it really was over too quickly. If it had twice the number of puzzles and a few more locations, I’d have given it 5 stars for sure.

This game has great graphics. The Terry Gilliam-like animation, use of Renaissance art work and music make it very unusual and intriguing. The point-and-click play style is ok, but the lack if hints is pretty annoying. It is often difficult to determine where to go next in the quest to collect all the deadly sins. A tutorial would be a good idea with instruction on how to interact with the characters and how to find the clues to completing each sin. It’s probably a lot easier to see the game in an iPad than on iPhone and that should be added to the description of the game. I wouldn’t recommend it for iPhone. With some tweaks this would be a very good game. As it is, the £3.99 price is high. Still, fun to see all the Bosch and Bruegel art and to hear the historically accurate music.

Lovely to have such a visually different game. It’s witty and silly and as I’m useless at gaming, I had to use a walkthrough to solve a few things. Gamers may breeze through, but I’d be surprised. To pull so many artworks into a storyline and create relevant tasks needs imagination and a cheeky sense of humour. Well done. Please do another one. Impressionism? Surrealism? Can’t wait.

Wonderful approach to graphics and music with humorous dialogue and amusing quests. It only took me a few hours to complete, but as I loved the approach I’m not going to dock a star for that, especially as one can spend a lot of extra time just exploring the art used.

Interesting use of renaissance art and classical/baroque music in a whimsical adventure game. Good use of simple and complex puzzles and some hilarious interactions. Recommend to all.
