Limited functionality with navigation that is quirky and frustrating and does not seem designed to work on mobile. Tasks take multiple steps and navigating back to a previous step seems impossible. With each passing year their technology gets more and more outdated. All the money they’ve spent to enhance their digital offering is, in my opinion, wasted because they went backwards even more. And I just flat out don’t use my Coastal credit card anymore because we just don’t have any tools available to track and manage our account. While I could probably live with clunky, the problem is fuctionality that is seamless, flawless, intuitive and automated at Citi and BofA doesn’t even exist here at all.

Sooo.. the only way to quickly log in is to use a finger print scanner... what about iPhone X, Xr, Xs, or the Xs Max? So I have to type in my user name and password.. whatever. That’s not the only part. It THEN ask me two security questions EVERY time I need to log in. I shouldn’t have to go through so much just to check my balance in line at the store or check to see if my direct deposit has hit yet or just general checking my account for any reason. It’s so long and frustrating for what? You’d be better off going on safari and saving your password to your iPhone and just log in that way than using this app. Heck.. even STATE EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION just got an app and it’s SO much better, just type in a pin that you selected and boom.. you’re in. It’s not that hard folks, come on.

This “new” (within the last year) upgrade makes using the app a headache and it’s not even slick! Everything is slow; you click on it and wait a bit to see if it registered. And going through the recent transactions is horrible, if you click on a statement then want to go back to the list you have to start at the beginning again. It’s also not clear if something is a button or not, and the buttons (specifically the back button) are hard to press and sometimes take more than one press to get. There are plenty more design flaws if the dev team would like them. Still a great bank.

I love the new updates, however I just upgraded my phone and no longer have thumb print options! Please upgrade to allow us to use the facial recognition to logon to our Mobil banking. I love how I can see all my accounts in one quick view. I have the option of opening individual accounts to see transactions on that account. One thing I would say is missing is the option of seeing front and back of checks processed through my account. Thank you for making banking an easy process!

I dont know what is going on with Coastal recently, but my family are not happy with their service at all. Couple months back, I tried to do a mortgage application with them. After 2 weeks and several attempts different representatives, I just never got my pre-approval letter and went with different bank. Last week, my brother tried to open new checking account. It has been a whole week and nobody even bother to process the application nor contact my brother. Extremely unhappy with how they work and handle customer care. Just like they don't care anymore
