Xasteria+ aims to give you quick access to all the astronomical weather forecasts & tools you might need in a single app. It adds the Dark Sky weather source, Night Vision mode, iPhone landscape view and extra tools to the free Xasteria app and it is made primarily to fund the 7Timer weather forecast servers. Try the basic Xasteria app, it is completely free with no ads, but if you find it useful and would like to support the service, get Xasteria+ and enjoy the extra features! Xasteria was originally created to bring the excellent Astronomical-oriented ASTRO weather forecast of the service 7Timer! to your iOS device. You can use your device GPS for a forecast of your location, choose any location in the world. For more precise short-term cloud/rain forecast, the hourly/hyperlocal Dark Sky forecast is added to Xasteria+. Quick access to astro-weather web sources like Clear Outside, Meteoblue, Windy, Astrospheric, Sat24.com and the latest water vapor satellite images and animations are also provided, as well as the nearest Clear Sky Charts and even light pollution maps. In addition, ISS and bright satellite passes for your location are available (data from heavens-above.com), as well as a Lunar calendar. 7Timer is mainly derived from the NOAA/NCEP-based numeric weather model, the Global Forecast System (GFS) and gives you a forecast for the entire globe with a resolution of about 20km at 3-hour intervals. The data provided includes: -Sun/Moon rise/set & twilight times. -Moon phase. -Cloud cover. -Astronomical seeing. -Atmospheric transparency. -Temperature. -Humidity. -Rain/Snow. -Atmospheric instability. -Wind. -Wind Direction. -Visibility (Dark Sky). -Dew Point (Dark Sky). Xasteria provides you with a choice of 3 visualization modes for the data: the new 7Timer! ASTRO graphics, the color-stripe graphics similar to some other astro-forecast services and a raw text mode.
