The app always opens with a big splash screen of some “special offer” of products completely irrelevant to me. The close button is conveniently hidden in a non-contrasting colour which makes it difficult to find, forcing you to look at the stupid ad. Very nice when you’re in the queue and the only thing that you’re trying to do is to quickly find your Watson’s eMembership card! I bet the people behind me in the queue are happy about that... NOT. Additionally, no Apple Wallet integration for the eMembership card, forcing you to open the app, even though in the Apple App Store it says “supports Apple Wallet”. Rather misleading don’t you think? Not acceptable. Poor design.

I downloaded this app to register my card, and see if it really was as bad as people said. It 100% is as buggy as people said. Everything you do that deviates from the intended user flow crashes the app, including clicking another part of the screen, say, if you want to revise your info in the card activation form. The card scanner only works if you place the barcode on the bottom of the screen. I could go on but it’s actually just ridiculous. I work for a product development company and we make software and hardware for clients, for a living. This app, in its current state, should never have been released. The most basic user testing would have shown how poorly designed and programmed this is. Shame on you Watson!

I have been Watson’s customer for a very long time. I was able to shop online using this app until recently. There was a request to update my mobile number and no matter what number I keyed in, it just prompted me invalid field. I wanted to buy online since Nov 2019. So I wrote to the customer service and they told me my phone number was registered under another membership card and there was no follow up after that. So I tried again with my husband’s number, it was the same “invalid field” prompt again and I was not able to proceed to checkout because of that. I was also wondering maybe it is because my address has no unit number and therefore I was not able to proceed because I could not key in “-“ for no unit number? Sigh.. this is really wasting my time and i guess i should just forget about Watson online totally.

1. Unable to login despite putting a valid email. Error states ‘invalid email’. The error should have been more clear to ask us to register online, not ‘invalid email’ 2. Tried the add to cart delivery option. After I entered my address, there was no button for me to click ‘enter’ to proceed. It was so frustrating and hard to use the app! 3. Most of the pages required me to click on my return keyboard in order to go to submit. It was truly a pain. 4. When I went to the store to try to get the discount, your staff was not even able to find the barcode scanner until I showed. 5. The barcode scanner showed ‘product does not exist’. There is no way for me to buy your product on the discount price stated!! What a waste of time and effort! Please put in more effort into testing, ensuring the product is ready before even launching.

App was hard to use as it keeps lagging. When I go to a new page, I was unable to return back to the previous page and it even lags. Also, I wanted to change my contact number but couldn't. They indicated a 6-digit OTP was sent for confirmation when what I received was an 8-digit! It also states that I reached my limit of 3 OTPs and should retry in 24 hours' time but I went back days later and still the same problem. Sent an inquiry thrice to the customer service team via the app but no replies up till now.
