Usit: On-Demand Babysitting

As a college student this is the best way to have extra money when you are just hanging around on a weekend. All the families I work with are so sweet! The only issue I have with Usit is that it should require parents to accept students for the job with at least 2 and a half hours before it starts. There’s been numerous times where I’m just sitting and looking at my phone for an hour before the job starts wondering if the parent is going to accept the job or something else. Usit should also allow students to pick more than one job for a day within the same time frame for higher chances of getting jobs- so if a student were to apply for two jobs the same day/time- the first job to accept automatically cancels the second pending job.

I started working for Usit my senior year of 2017. I’ve completed 23 jobs, and have recurring jobs by parents who really like me and ask me to babysit over and over again. The perks are amazing, and I can have the choice to travel around Atlanta or be more local, and meet amazing parents and children. The only thing I’d change is the timeframe in which parents have to rate you in order for you to receive payment. Many parents will forget to rate (despite the notification they get?), and having a method where if they don’t rate within 48 hours, that sitters automatically get a neutral or 5 star rating and get paid would be very helpful. Having a more reliable method to contact Usit in case of emergencies is necessary. If something happens on the job, the number should work and connect me to someone.

I really enjoy sitting for Usit :) I’ve had over 50 jobs and everyone has been nothing but sweet. Usit should give the sitters a long enough notice before parents accept I mean I’ve had jobs accept me 40 minutes before it starts even though it’s manageable it’s not to fair for the sitters I’ve learned not to plan anything until the job disappears from my application tab. Like any other app it does glitch at times but it is always being handled in a very timely matter . Some parents have complained to me about not being able to change the age of their children so I’d suggest looking into that but the main thing is all of the sitters are safe , all of the families are respectful, and it’s such an easy simple payment process that allows us college students to earn extra money in a safe way :) i love Usit ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Usit is okay. They need to have a way for the parents to contact the sitter before the sit is accepted and a way for sitters to contact the parents. There should be a cut off where parents can’t accept you for a job an hour before it starts because sometimes you can’t make it there an hour before it starts. Also! Make it to where the students can see why a parent is rated below 5 stars. I’m not sure if the students leave comments for the parents when they’re rated below 5 stars but if they do it would be nice to see what you’re getting into. I think students should be able to sign up for two jobs that take place at the same time without worrying about having to pay the $20 cancellation fee if they get accepted for both. Usit should automatically cancel the other job once the job has already been accepted for the same day and time frame.

This is the best service for finding a babysitter. I have been using the app for 2 years, and all of the sitters have been great (all are background-checked). The app is user-friendly with customizable options. Benefits for the user: 1) complete control over which sitter to hire for each job; 2) can request favorite sitters to be notified when a job is posted; 3) determine pay per hour and length of job; 4) can indicate specific requests before the job starts; 5) payment is all done through the app, so no money changes hands; 6) reasonable transaction fee. Usit administers are continually updating the app to provide the best experience possible for users. I love this company, and their commitment to quality of service is optimal.
