Owners of smart phones and other mobile devices can now download a free application ‘UCD Mobile’ that puts the University in the palm of their hand. There is a wealth of information available through the new app which delivers real-time news and services. For example, at the touch of a button you can see where exactly you are on campus and find the building you’re looking for with the interactive Maps service. The latest University News and updates are available via the News feature which contains a number of news categories to choose from including the University Noticeboard. There is a Directory service that not only shows staff contact details but links to the map service directing users to the contact’s address on campus. The Events Calendar will keep you in touch with the many activities and events taking place on campus and the Sports module with subdivisions for various sports and men’s and women’s teams will keep fans up to date with the latest scores and fixtures. Blackboard Mobile Learn gives you direct access to Blackboard content, announcements and much more. The Videos feature brings you a wide variety of student and faculty produced videos including lectures from various programmes.
