Tradespeople Leads - MyBuilder

The MyBuilder concept is great but the messaging within doesn't seem to work. I'm a tradesman and many times I'll give my availability on the message... only to find a client will then shortlist me and ask for the work to be done exactly when I can't do it. Turns out they didn't see my message. The messages need to be better linked to the 'I'm interested' feature so there's no disappointment for the client or tradesman. Other than that it's great.

I have been using this app for a few months now and it’s been a total shambles. Customers expectations for price of work to be carried out are un-real. They waste your time expecting you to do it for next to nothing and then on top of that you have to foot the bill for shortlist fees. Customers are after written quotations for insurance purposes and have no intention of having work carried our. When you inform them that they will be charged for a written quotation which is deductible once work is carried out they are no longer interested and you are left with having to pay fees! My Builder are only interested in generating maximum income from you and in my opinion are not scrutinising enough whether they are genuine customers or timewasters. Really disappointed ☹️

It appears to be the case that even jobs I decline are then resent as a new ‘you’ve been requested ‘ by the customer as they’ve seen your profile !!! I’ve asked a couple of the customers and they hadn’t seen or requested me in particular . And what’s more it says your profile had been viewed and the custome wants to speak to ‘you’ giving the impression that it’s only you it says at the bottom contact the customer as soon as possible to ensure success. Then you ignore it and a short while later 5 traders are interested and 3 been shortlisted !! Not good ! Feel like I’m being had over .

Have have been with My Builder for a few months and found that they a very professional, good communication with myself and the clients and an excellent Webb site. If I was to nitpick, sometimes they send myself jobs which other trades have received a lot earlier. Other than that a superb service. Keep it up. Shaun. SWG Plastering

This app is great for a tradesperson. I use it all the time and it gives instant notification of leads allowing you to show interest immediately. Similarly notifications for shortlisting or winning jobs is equally fast. Would also be useful to have a job poster app too.
