I find that the app is really helpful, to a point. As I'm pay as you go, they don't give you a detailed inventory. I've been using it for a long time, as I don't use my mobile that much I hadn't noticed anything different in the amount available. Now that I need my mobile, due to family issues, I'm using my mobile a lot more, so I've been keeping a log of calls and what I've got left. I have just topped up via the app to find that it cost me a £1 for the privilege! Where is that info on here and why? Surely it's cheaper doing it this way than going through the phone or getting a voucher. I know it's not much, but with everything going on at home, every penny counts! Good job I'm going to get triple money, but I've got to wait until my anniversary date. Please be more open on what you have to pay to use this app! Now I'm going to have to keep an eye on the cost of anything I do on here. It's going to be back to calling again, which takes several minutes to go through! I'm struggling to see the benefits now.

Changed from Vodafone as fed up with messing around. Tesco is just as bad. After two attempts trying to get my old number back was promised completion by six pm today. Nothing, eventually got through on chat line was told to turn my phone off and on again. Did that so lost contact with chat line and spent the next hour unsuccessfully trying to get through. On top of that, downloaded app and was informed my number was not a payg number despite using new payg SIM card they sent me. Please take me back Vodafone. All worked out in the end. Process not as simple as portrayed but got there eventually. Back up to 3 stars for effort.

My mums phone was stolen which i has a Tesco PAYG sim inside, rang Tesco to notify them but they wouldn’t allow me to report it stolen, they had to verify my mother before they would do anything, the Tesco PAYG app is useless because it doesn’t allow you to remotely lock if stolen, luckily it was an older phone, not a smart one so all the thief could do is make calls to all my mothers friends and family, annoying tho and this took place right outside a hospital as my mother came out on a wheelchair. Poor quality app Tesco, please change it so owners can lock it if it is stolen from them. And if your wondering why I haven’t just got my mother to call them to cancel it’s because she’s just come out of hospital herself and suffers from Dementia.

Having left a previous review after updating to iOS 11, and finding the app incompatible, I deleted the app and reloaded it. Problem solved! .....so I thought! Closed app and reopened, crashed again. Have consulted Tesco Mobile via text on their Facebook page and they have told me that they have tested it, and it is working for them. Thought I was the only one having this problem until I read the other reviews. I hope this gets resolved as it was a really useful app to have. UPDATE: Thanks for the update which has now resolved issues with iOS 11. All working well. Have tested & tested again to make sure it works, I have now awarded 5 stars...Great app...when it works!

Have recently updated IPhone 5s to IOS11, and the app crashes before opening. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still have the same problem. As the update has now fixed the problem, seems to be working well.
