Occasionally an inexpensive app proves to be indispensable and it restores your faith in cheap apps, which is then disappointed by buying many useless cheap apps hoping each will reward your willingness to invest in them but instead just use up memory. Given the price you might assume that there is a bigger, better app to do what this one does. There isn’t. Now w/ AUv3 support this is the bigger, better app. Nothing else does strings like this. Laplace is closest but, as it’s not focused on strings it does not give the explicit control over string parameters the way this app does. I cannot replicate the sound with anything else. This should cost $10-$15 if compared to similar quality apps.

I’m seriously floored I didn’t realize this developer had all these other gems in addition to Tardigrain. Purchase the bundle earlier today and I cannot believe how much value there is to be had with the purchase! Most of the time, when buying a bundle without having a really good feel for each app, my hope is that I’ll at least find one app out of the mix that “sticks” (i.e. 4 app bundle, if I end up liking 1 or 2 of them and the rest go in the garbage or in some obscure folder I’ll probably never open for years, I’d typically consider that a win given how much crap there is in the market). In this case, I actually cannot decide which one to focus in on because they’re all so amazing.. The sounds and the UI are gorgeous. Nothing bugs me more than a beautiful app that sounds like a potato (except an ugly app that sounds great!) Huge value with this bundle or any of the apps. I cannot believe there’s not a bigger buzz around this dev.

I think I paid $3 for this app, but it’s easily worth $20. Simple intuitive interface reminiscent of the op-1 string synth. I love the new update, excited to try the rest of the bundle. Thanks dude I love your work!

The controls are somewhat cryptic but once you know what they do (as the on-screen hints indicate) you will find these are very cool apps.

I have three other apps from Eric, I’m buying this one on the strength of that experience. I’ll update this after I get to know Strng. Weird thing: bundle price made no sense. It was cheaper to buy Strng and frekvens out right than buy the bundle. Somehow, I don’t think that was what they were trying to accomplish...
