SNOO

The SNOO is legit the BEST money we’ve ever spent. Our 2-week old just slept through the night with just 1 30-minute feeding wake up. I don’t know what we’d do without it to be honest. As first-time parents I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t have this extra helping hand during such a challenging transition time! If you’re on the fence about spending the money....DO IT.

Thank heavens for the SNOO and the app, it’s seriously a parenting game changer. I feel like I’m not alone in obsessing over my babies log and comparing the days/weeks/months to figure out what tricks and routines to establish to get our little ones to have more quality sleep (and give us mommies and daddies the shut eye we so desperately deserve). Love the ability to turn on/off and pause from my phone. It truly gives such an added sense of security being able to check the app and see baby is “calm” or “comforted” for those times I don’t always trust the baby monitor. My only gripe is that I wish there was an option to manually edit or enter maps/ nighttime sleep out of the SNOO. This would be helpful for weaning babies that are transitioning to crib life, vacationing without the SNOO, for those nights when the 4 month regression sets in and you forget to turn off the SNOO one of the 8 times you wake up in the middle of the night.

the SNOO sleeper is great but the app needs a lot of work. I’ve been using the SNOO for 4 months now and here are some things that I think would make this app better: — fix issue of frequent log-outs. at random times I will be logged out of the app. the last thing you want to have to do at 3am is type in your email and password to be able to turn up/down the snoo. — update sleep log visual. I don’t think the horseshoe shaped log makes any sense. why isn’t it a clock or something more intuitive? it would also be nice if the log showed exact times of soothing spikes. right now it only shows initial sleep and then wake time. — allow manual input for naps not in the snoo. in order to be really helpful at tracking sleep patterns parents should be allowed to manually enter in naps that happen outside of the snoo. yes, Karp suggests the snoo for all naps but reality is that sometimes they happen in the stroller, car seat, carrier, etc.

First of all, I love the Snoo. The bassinet is amazing. The app, however, could use some work - it doesn’t have the ability to look at trend data, add naps or sleep outside of the Snoo for tracking purposes, and the Snoo settings/ functionality could be more dynamic (for example, setting motion limits to level 3 - currently you can only lock or limit to level 2). Just a little developer work could make the Snoo app amazing but they haven’t invested there as of now.

The physical product is amazing, but the app is sub par at best. It seems like the app is “dumb” to the actual status of the SNOO. Almost as if the app is assuming the status of the SNOO based on the actions you’ve taken in the app (I set the SNOO to level 3 via the app, turn off the SNOO, close the app, reopen the app, and it still reports level 3 despite the SNOO being power cycled and in hibernation). I’d the amount of time was given to the software as much time was given to the hardware, this would be an absolute home run.
