SmartWOD Workout Generator

I’ve been looking a long time for app that will customize the workouts by my available equipment. Also allows designate the higher level CrossFit skills like double unders and handstands. Being new to CrossFit it also provides a quick video tutorial for almost all the exercises. It was the app i needed with all the features i wanted. I’ve never reviewed an app before but felt this one deserved it

I just recently purchased the premium option for both your workout generator and the WOD Timer apps (not knowing that there was a timer in the generator app itself). I’ll start by saying I LOVE these apps!! There’s great variety in the workout generator (even if you have limited equipment) and the WOD timer looks great on my iPad! I feel as if both apps would be AMAZING combined as I slightly wasted my money purchasing the premium subscription for both when I could have just purchased the lifetime for one. However, my biggest con for the apps are that I use my iPad for my workouts when I’m home and my iPhone for when I’m not. It would be great if the apps sync on both devices so that my workout log and favorite workouts reflect on both devices. This would eliminate the hassle of trying to copy my workouts from one device to the other. Additionally, the ability to log workouts from the generator without performing the timer would also be a great function (could be simplified with combining the apps and allowing the apps to sync across devices.

I happen to come upon this app by chance and I’m so happy I did. Being quarantine, and not able to get to my box, this has become my go to. I love that I can filter by equipment and ability. I love the built in timer and record keeper. The only negative I found is when I look at the workout in the morning, I can’t get back to it when I’m ready to workout. Otherwise- it’s amazing!

a) I wish I could pay and get rid of the ads b) This is pretty much an unreasonable wish but I wish...I sometimes know 1 or 2 movements I do want, or know I want an EMOM, not an AMRAP... And I wish I could get the workout, ahh, “partially” selected. Like today I know I wanted rowing, not wall balls, and I wanted an olympic bar movement because I had not done rowing for a week, did 150 wall balls on Sat, and my OLY bar work needs constant practice.

App customizes your workout to the equipment you have at home and your ability. Along with the workout it has a timer and a round counter. You can skip a workout if you don’t feel comfortable or have an injury. Workouts usually take anywhere from 15 minutes to half-hour. You can lift prior to the WOD and use the WOD as cardio!
