I skate on the daily so I decided to get a good skate game to play. I had a similar game that I liked very much but ended up doing everything on it so I wanted a new challenge. Here's my first impression: Great graphics, I mean really quality graphics for a mobile game. They make you do a long tutorial which I had to do twice because my game crashed in the middle of it. The controls were hard to get used to at first. I thought it would be like a virtual tech deck, but you use your thumbs to control the board which I thought was a little odd. I like being able to use company boards, but I wish you could change stuff like wheels and trucks, but you can only get pre picked decks. Not a big deal but just a thought. After playing for a while I did get bored, so this is where my title fits in with my review. This game is fun for awhile but gets dry after 15 minutes. I wish they changed up some options and made different game options that could spice up the gameplay. Sorry for writing a book but this game is NOT worth 5 dollars, at the most it's worth $2 for the lack of gameplay and crashes and lagging.

In my opinion this is the best skateboarding game for a mobile device. I LOVE the fact that I can skate these famous spots and I really really hope that the developers start making frequent updates so new locations open up every couple of months or something (maybe I am being greedy) but as you know there are boatloads of other spots to skate so please please please do that 🙏 this game can give you a very similar gratification that you would get from real life skating (e.g. you can flick a slow hard flip or you can do your normal text book hardflip) no two trick are ever really the same. It would be really cool to be able to incorporate some coping tricks as well (not so much grabs considering you are only really using your feet but to be able to skate the coping would be cool) all in all I love this game and I think this is way better than anything else that is out there and mind you this is just a mobile skating application game so I’m not expecting to have all of the perks of a game for Xbox or something but all I would really like to see just some more spots and maybe some more gear. Awesome game though, ohhh and just a heads up it is super super annoying for people that use this game (most likely don’t skate at all )and upload tricks that you have to copy that are just pure nonsense finger mashing... please play true skate or something 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I had an old iPhone 6s and I downloaded skater on it. The game was great. Good graphics for a mobile game. The game would lag every now and then but not to often. I now have a iPhone 7 and I re downloaded the app. The app now won’t launch. I opened the app and it just stayed on the loading screen and won’t open. I waited for about 5-7 min and it still wouldn’t open. I tried to clear the app the open it again. Didn’t launch. I tried restarting my phone. Didn’t launch. I then deleted the app and re downloaded it. Didn’t launch. The app doesn’t say it needs an update (at the moment) so it should be fine. My phone had the latest software and same with skater. I am a little disappointed and confused that this app can work on a old iPhone 6s but not my 7. If you know how to fix this pleas let me know because at this point I don’t know what to do. This is a great quality app but it won’t launch😕.

True Skate definitely has more features and parks, but when it comes to a skate game where you actually have control, Skater takes it for sure. True Skate isn't fun because it's nearly impossible to play, but with skate you have so much more control over your board that it makes it so much more fun. Yeah True Skate may have more spots (which is one of the downsides of this game - it definitely lacks content), but you'll have more fun playing this game with the little spots you have rather than spending hours on hours trying to land a trick on True Skate and it's many spots. Overall, this is a solid skate game. A bit hard to get used to in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it it's extremely fun. It lacks content and spots which makes the game really boring and the developers don't do enough to update its users with news on what's going on which gets frustrating, but I'm sure they're adding some good stuff. This game is fun and enjoyable nevertheless and worth the money.

It would be fun to have more legendary skate spots like... the leap of faith, hubba hideout, Wallenberg etc. and some skateparks like the Shredquarters braille skateboarding's warehouse, and x games street parks (x games 17, etc) and a mega park to skate at and it would be cool to make your own board by choosing a deck or make a custom graphic and grip tape from a picture like true skate choose your own trucks, and wheel color and choosing a deck width (7.75", 8", 8.125")... the wider the deck is the slower it turns and you need to flick harder...one last thing that would be cool is if you can skate with people with a Bluetooth or wifi connection another thing to improve is when I want to turn backside and do a frontside shove it it wants to do a backside Ollie and the board does not want to rotate the opposite direction and that would look so cool if you can do a shove it with a body varial turning the opposite direction I saw my cousin in real life pull one off and it looked cool he did a pop shove it frontside body varial
