Rocket Valley Tycoon

This is my second game review ever and I play a lot of games. This is one of the few idle games that I have found that actually progresses very well! A lot of idle games begin to slow down very early on and the time it takes to do things also begins to get ridiculous. I had neither of these problems with this game, it advances at the pace you play it at and will never leave you waiting for days to get that one upgrade you need and I’ve gotten to Mars. I’ve noticed some people complaining about a train glitch not picking up new factories and extractors but I’ve never ran into this problem! I think that maybe they are forgetting to upgrade their trains to increase the capacity or maybe I just never got the glitch. The reason for my 4 stars is that I do have a weird glitch where my Rocket Soda purchases and Rocket soda disappear... the only thing I have spent it on is the multiplier which I have x5 so far which is annoying because I will open the app and the x5 multiplier will be gone so all of my factories aren’t receiving enough resources... it’s an easy fix because you just restart the app but it happens about once every 5 times I open the app. If this glitch is fixed it will have 5 stars from me! Sorry for the long comment just wanted to be descriptive!

I pre downloaded the game and didn’t know what it would be like. I have played during all my free time and it’s amazing! Of coarse this is a brand new game but the more I build the more unorganized I get. Right now I’m almost ready to go to mars but right now I have so many factories and I can never find the factories I need. Really fast I’m going to say how I play the game because that might be why I’m unorganized. So after the tutorial I didn’t like where I had to place everything so I restarted and skip the tutorial and I got “organized” so I made every city have certain factories and resources been produced and had all the city’s connects the railroads then I would have every factory selling in less I need that object. ( by the way it only works half the time to have a factory selling things for me it just sits there for me I have to sell somethings with the warehouses) so my way was organized for a long time but now I’ve built so many things I can’t find anything so I think it would be amazing to be able to change the color under it or have each type of factory and extractor. Of its a new game so there will be a lot of updates. Last thing is more special buildings. This is a really good game very fun tycoon 😁👍 Jolly out

It’s a great game! Especially if the player likes assembly line games like satisfactory. But the game (in my eye at least) need some more things in it, such as; a way to upgrade every thing in a ware house, a way to make a ware house have different options (like a option it will only contain raw materials, or a option where it can have all materials (as in a way to add all options at once)), a confirm build option (just like how there is a confirm delete option, but for this if you don’t want to waste your money on something that costs a lot and you place it by accident. That would be lovely), and a finger slide track built option (this may sound confusing, so what I mean is a option that when active it will let the player slide their finger across the screen and built tracks instantly on there. With out having to tap over and over.). All of those Improvements would be incredible! Also please fix the train not picking up items, that would be so helpful 😅. But thanks so much! Hope you consider these improvements!

I've only just started playing but I know this game is for me. It kind of has a Factorio vibe. It's a lot more of a strategic almost puzzle game than just an "idle" game. It has some properties of an idle game but I haven't hit that wall where I have to stop and come back later. There are a few upgrades to cities that take real world time to complete which is how ads are integrated. You can watch an ad to skip the timer on the upgrade which I think is a good incentive to watch, while still making it possible to play through without ads. Even though I've just started, I see huge potential in this as a fuller paid for game on steam. It would need some graphics changes and a more in depth campaign, but could also include a scenario builder and an virtually endless mode. I would also like the idea of slightly more control of trains, but I think it works how it is now too. The only other thing a full PC version could have is creating named districts that you could easily jump around to to stay organize. I would gladly pay like $20 on steam for singing more in depth without the ads and extra paid for stuff.

I’m really enjoying this game overall however there is one glaring bug. Trains do not update their list of potential pick-up/drop-off points consistently. Occasionally I’ll have a Station and a train route already established and when I add a new extractor/factory the train will not recognize the new source/destination. Fixing this is as simple as modifying the train’s route; typically I just delete the last station from the route and re add it. This is just a little annoying but manageable. The real problem is that trains also don’t update when cities get new missions. I have trains with access to all the various items traveling between cities to complete missions, however recently (this wasn’t a problem previously) after a city mission is completed, the train loses the ability to drop off further mission requirements into the city. This forces me to constantly baby sit the city missions which is annoying, repetitive, and ultimately not fun. I’d give this app a 5 star overall if it weren’t for this newly introduced bug.
