Rime - room escape game -

Graphics are decent, but honestly the worst thing about the game is the graphics, every puzzle is well thought out, and can be figured out with enough patience. Only complaint I can find is the graphics make some things hard to see, but that actually adds to the challenge. Multiple endings, plus amazingly enough developer offers soft reset with anything less than the “true” ending which is SO awesome, I rarely replay games just for a two second different ending, but this game lets you reset to right before you ended, so endings, and included extra puzzles, are totally worth playing!

The game is overall very well done. The puzzles are challenging and make you think. While some will be obvious others will really challenge you. The game strikes a good balance as well with the hint system. Need a hint? Watch an ad. Still not enough? Ask for the answer. This system seemed extremely fair given the game is free. If I’m not paying for the game this is an excellent way to handle creating value for the developer. One complaint is although the graphics are good they try and obfuscate things by blending them into the background too much.

I’m a veteran escape game player, and am bored with the same old cookie cutter games that don’t require thinking - just finding stuff and putting it in other stuff. This one makes you think outside the box and really problem solve. It’s tricky and I had to use the hints more than I’d like to admit, but I appreciate the progressive hints that don’t just give you the answer right away. Sometimes it was for stuff that I should have been able to figure out on my own, and others that just plain had me stumped. I’m looking forward to more from this developer! 👍🏻

Update: I just replayed this game and it was every bit as good the second time. Thank you and please make more! Excellent escape game..... beautiful graphics and music with a wonderful, moody atmosphere. And the puzzles! They're unique and inventive and really challenging! Happily there are in game hints and also a link to a page with a walkthrough. I confess I had to use both. I hope this dev is hard at work making more escape games! I've played many and the ones of quality stand out above the rest. This is real quality, in my opinion. More, please!

I work at an escape room and my coworkers and I are always talking about escape game apps and board games not being very good most of the time. But this one definitely takes the cake for one of the best I’ve seen. I never write reviews for anything but I would love to see more of this stuff from the people who made this, and I’ll definitely be sharing it with my coworkers so they can enjoy it too. If you’re into solving puzzles and looking for a new challenge, you might find this to be a good one. I loved it!
