RemTrack is a civic technology-for-development tool designed and deployed by OrderPaper Advocacy Initiative to unpack the complex web of remediation in the extractives sector into user-friendly information and datasets that enable stakeholders including especially civil society and the media to make evidence-based advocacy in furtherance of transparency and accountability in Nigeria. RemTrack is a citizens' engagement tool and catalytic framework of the GIFT-Extractives Programme of OrderPaper Advocacy Initiative. Growth Initiatives for Fiscal Transparency - GIFT Extractives - is a sub-set of GIFT-Nigeria specifically designed to focus on and interrogate policy issues in the oil and gas as well as solid minerals sector of Nigeria's economy. Growth Initiatives for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT) Nigeria is an OrderPaper initiative designed to sensitize citizens, civil society groups, state and non-state actors, critical stakeholders, particularly public sector entities on the overarching imperative of fiscal discipline in public finance management in Nigeria. GIFT Nigeria is an omnibus platform distilled into sectorial applications with the core objective of tackling corruption and corrupt practices while raising the bar on transparency, accountability and good governance in the country. It is designed along various lines including advocacy, policy and legislative reforms as well as institutional reorientation and appropriate paradigm shifts. GIFT Nigeria is a variant of FollowTheFunds (FTF), an initiative to track public finance designed as a fall out of The Gallery Colloquium on Budgetary Reforms held in September 2016.
