Receipt Box - Spending Tracker

The app is simple to use. I love that I’m able to enter my own spendings and add tags to it for further organization. I tried MINT which is more complex because you connect you bank account and all that but it wasn’t accurately showing my spendings since I don’t only spend with cards. This app allows you to enter all forms of payment on your own time. Having to remember can be good for muscle memory. It’ll be nice to have a reminder in the app and there very well could be but I don’t find it necessary. Really helps with monitoring my spendings because I can visually see multiple ways where all my money is going.

I like how this app is easy to use and doesn’t require you to sign up or link your bank account. Your purpose in using apps like this is to keep track of your spending ONLY. Besides, this is more convenient than Excel bc it’s always there in your phone when you wanna view/enter your spending. What needs to be improved: -Design of the UI. -More texts in the pie chart, specifically spending categories. It now only shows texts of a few major ones. I’d like to see all. There are texts below the pie chart but it requires me to scroll down. As a user I’d prefer not to (ease is the key). Not to mention the texts below don’t tell which color in the chart represents which category. Plus, I’d prefer to see the text on the pie chart bc it provides better visualization than only numbers. I never wrote a review on App store. This is my first review. I did this bc I like this app and I hope to see they improve on the said features.

I really like the interface of this app and the simplicity of it, however, I wish it had a couple more features that still wouldn’t take away from its user-friendliness... -Custom pay periods: I get paid on Saturdays, so Receipt Box’s automatic Sunday-Saturday week is harder for me to use because it cuts off when I actually get income only one day into my pay period. -Sortable/Moveable categories: I wish I could sort the order of my categories that way I could keep all bill-related expenses next to eachother and all food, grocery, living expenses together. Other than that, I really like the app... but those missing features leave me looking for a different receipt/expense tracking app after all.

This app is the most amazing thing ever. Beginning to do more adult things, like paying for rent, I really wanted to be more cognizant of my shopping habits and made sure I was staying on track. This app does an amazing job of organizing purchases by topic, that of which I can create or delete, I can also organize by payment method, date, and a comments bar for what is what I purchased. I then get several helpful breakdowns of when, where, payment, and a little circle graph that is so helpful in visualizing my spending. A must have!

Very easy to use and extremely fast input of expenses. I also love the design. I like this app better than my previous one because this app doesn't care about income each month. It just keeps track of whatever I input and doesn't require me to input income before inputting expenses. Also, I live in a country where you cannot connect your bank account to these kind of apps, and this app doesn't require that info.
