QuickPlan 3D - Floor plans

I can't tell you how many times I've wasted money on apps that just don't do what I want them to. This app didn't disappoint me. I wanted to design the interior of a cabin to specifically fit the needs of my husband who has Alzheimer's. That means wider transport areas and doors. I need a smaller more efficient space so I can spend less time cleaning and more time caring for him. I know nothing about designing and this app made it so easy I frankly can't put it down. Not the right size door...double tape and change the dimensions. Put a window in the wrong place...erase it. The only reason I didn't give this app five stars is because they didn't give me enough options. There's no dishwasher or central A/C unit (that I can find) and I can't change the location of the drain in the shower. Other than that it's absolutely perfect and the best $8.99 I've spent in a long time. 👍

Tried several apps. This one is relatively easy to use and accomplished what I needed. Worth the money to avoid the adds and other gimmicks with the 'free' apps. Would have rated 5 stars if the online help were better. It’s a bit of trial and error, so don't just dive into your masterpiece until you learn the app. I reviewed the most critical comments for a lot of apps. This was one of only ones where the developers replied to customer concerns. A rare occurrence these days...

It took a little bit of kicking the tires to learn how to use it. After a little practice this was not only easy to use but easy to understand the impact of design decisions. Within a couple hours i had the current floor plan in place. Within a couple more hours I completed 2 redesigns. By my third day I understood problems with the design and made appropriate changes. Also, the 3D visualization engine made it easy to plan for decor. One of the best features is the measurement tool. To help understand the physical relationship of components in the design. This help me to identify and avoid designs with inherent problems (such as placing a door to close to an immovable object thereby inadvertently restricting the size of the entry space. I can’t wait to put my plans into action.

I used this app to design the renovation of my mom's house and I am now designing the renovation of my own house. I tried/used about a dozen other apps when I renovated our previous house and none of them compared to the ease and simplicity of this one. I do wish I could add a second story. (If that's possible I haven't been able to figure out how to do it.) But that is not a deal breaker for me. Adding, moving, deleting, editing, etc., - walls, doors windows, furnishings - are all so easy to do. If you are designing just for fun or if you are designing a new home or a renovation, I highly recommend this app.

This is very confusing. I am trying to design my new home but the schematics are so in-depth, that I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. There should be labels on all of the structures that are placed in a design. For instance, in the kitchen there is a large rectangle with 2 circles on one end. It looks like a bed, but I think it might be an island with something on it, like a cook stove, or maybe a sink. I can’t tell. Even when I expanded the view there were not enough labels on pre-populated items. There are so many lines going through each wall with measurements that it is very distracting. I do not know how to read blueprints. So, I am sure that I am not the intended user for this product, but I wish I had been warned before I spent the money.
