I’m currently trying to learn Swift, and so far Py one of the best apps I’ve come across. I love how it teaches you a concept, lets you test it out for yourself, and then tests you to make sure you understand everything at the end. However, there are a few bugs, like when you leave the app, it sometimes freezes when you get back on it, and sometimes the questions don’t load completely and you have to leave the course and go back in. Overall, though, it’s really great and I look forward to using it to learn Swift and other coding languages!!
I've only done two of the courses so far (unity and html). I'll start with the html course since that material was pretty new for me. It mostly was great. The lessons went in a good order, had tons of examples, and asked the right questions, until I got to the last two lessons. It seems almost unfinished, the last lesson doesn't even implement the drag and drop coding you use throughout the rest of the lesson. As for Unity, I've spent a lot of time working in unity and was curious how the app taught it. The lessons were great if you were sitting with a computer but kind of vague and confusing otherwise. Also, the setup and layout lessons are the last two lessons when they should probably be the first two. Overall great product and the python course is probably more fleshed out given it's a 10 hour course vs just 2.5 that these were. It seems like these courses just weren't quite finished or properly tested in full.
As an example, the swift lessons have started over for me—currently at 3% completion with 39 out of 90 stars (earn 3 stars per lesson). I was previously at 40+% on swift. I closed the app today, opened it again, and suddenly I don’t have any progress in python either (I previously completed both python and advanced python in their entirety). I started using this app after a great first impression, and even paid for the subscription—that also needs to be fixed. The app store listing for in-app purchases shows options for different subscription options (e.g. $9.99 for 3 months), and in app subscriptions are advertised as being $3.33 a month. However, every time I’ve gone to purchase a subscription, the only available option is a full year subscription. That needs to be fixed— It seems like the developers prioritized form over function here. Please fix this. The lessons are mostly good. But the foundation is shaky. but
I’ve been a web developer for approximately two years now. This app was recommended from a friend. I simply love the layout and how simple it is to use. This app walks you through beginner steps (as a refresher) up to python for building apps, websites, and servers. Jump in sign up, you’ll need your email address. So I’d say just create a new one or a spam one for all the overwhelming notifications or emails that may arise! Other than that one of the greatest learning apps on the apple market!
I couldn't even hit the feedback button, did not load anything Should really interagate a back button on lessons, it's hard to understand some content at times and it would be nice to go back on a pages. Maybe there is a back button that I'm unaware of? Should also add some sort of collaboration with others on some sort of projects would be interesting, other than that i really enjoy the app and it's options of lesson. Very easy to use which is nice. Keep it up.
