Prompted Journal

Despite never doing reviews, I’ll be honest. These daily prompts are the best $.99 I’ve ever given monthly to any developers. The daily prompts change every day at midnight, and have helped me immensely with my creative insight. I genuinely look forward to writing each day, which has been something many writing apps struggle doing for me. I’ve enjoyed the prompts so much, that I very well might publish them someday! A personal thank you to the developers, for reigniting the passion for writing that I found myself dwindling with. I’ll be referring to every writer friend I know! 🥰

I’ve been on the hunt for a digital journal and wasn’t really willing to “pay” or “subscribe” to write my feelings. BUUUT this one takes the cake & I’m so glad I did it. The prompts are simple but make you really self-reflect. I usually set 5 minutes to writing: a few minutes to think about my answer & then... to just write. I did set up the daily reminders through the app, however I actually haven’t gotten any reminder notifications. No biggy; but it can be improved, especially since it’s a provided feature. Highly recommend this app!

I have been using this app to give myself prompts and make journaling easier with my overcrowded life. It has been absolutely successful, and I am writing pages everyday about ideas, experiences, goals and dreams, and it is and will be wonderful to look back on my past writings. If I had any query or critique it would be concerning the fact that the original prompts were a little basic, and I was glad that I could instead input prompts myself. On the whole, this is an amazing outlet for your inner thoughts and a spectacular inlet into your true self.

I've journaled on and off pretty much for as long as I've been able to write. I write free form entries by hand, but I use this app for the prompts. They're open-ended and offer a way to consider important things in my life. I like that the app doesn't keep any personal data, and the .99/month is a small price to pay for that privacy. My only beef (and it's a minor one!) is that I'd like to be able to change the color of the interface. I like the pink, but sometimes I'm feeling more green, or grey, or yellow. You know?

I really like this app because the prompts are open ended and vary but they make you really dig deep and help uncover things you may have been repressing. For me, I’ve been feeling a general sense of unhappiness & this app has uncovered where those things are stemming from. It’s amazing how just a set of words can trigger a visceral response. I’d say with these prompts, don’t think too much about the response. Just let whatever comes out flow and you can truly see where you can take action in your day to day life.
