Overall the game/app is fun, exciting and challenging. I love trying to beat the Beast but I do have to say it's frustrating. During the Final Chase the answer that the Beast says often posts within a fraction of a second of the question popping up. Similarly to when Brooke reads him the questions on the show. Where as the contestant must read the questions themselves and wait for the answers to pop up, quickly skimming through them and selecting the correct one. All of this extra time matters. Personally, on average I reach between 14–17 correct questions on the Final Chase. 85% of the time I get caught. I have gone through the Final Chase and just selected an answer as fast as it popped up, no matter if it's right or wrong, to see how many questions to get through in the two minutes and the most I can come to is 21. This means, on my phone with my internet, etc I can never get more than 21 correct questions because of the time difference/advantage the Beast has.
I really enjoy playing is game. There are so few decent trivia games out there and this is a good one. The only thing would be the lag time. It's a bit of a slow game. especially during the "chase" portion. After seeing my answer, it cuts away to register it on the board and then another cut away to see the beasts answer. It then cuts away again to register that answer before it gets back to the game. Maybe if both my answer and the beast's were revealed at the same time and then followed by the results on the board all at once or possibly the board being incorporated in the screen that displays the questions somehow, that would save sometime. Either way, I still intend on having fun playing this game as is for now. Thanks much!
This is a tough game to win, which is fun if you like being challenged under time constraints. It’s not for someone who may take a bit longer to come up with answers. The Beast is difficult to beat, so it keeps you on your toes. It’s worth opening up all the categories for $3 if you consider that’s less than a few songs from iTunes. This game is a good way to pass time in an airport, especially if you've got WiFi connection issues, which I’ve often had during overseas travel. Plus, unlike some other trivia style games, this one doesn’t repeat the same questions. Good fun:)
I've been following The Chase on GSN for about 6 months now, and when I found this app, it certainly did not disappoint. The questions are great for the most part, the game is addictive, and just as challenging as the actual show is. I do, however, have a couple of complaints about the questions. While they're great overall, they can get a bit repetitive. I also thought that the sports category had too many questions about the Olympics, and not enough questions about college sports.
I downloaded and played this app for the first time today and I LOVE it! Having watched all the episodes from both the UK and US, I find playing this game creates nearly the same anticipation and excitement as playing along on the show. I have won as many final chases as I have lost, and it's nice to push back the chaser when he has answered incorrectly. Makes it more realistic. I already know that I'll be making purchases as soon as I get through the free general knowledge questions, and will update my review after I've tried the new questions. Well worth downloading. Enjoy!
