Calculator HD

I love this calculator. It’s perfect. I hated the ads and decided to try other calculators. Nope, this one was truly the best. So I swallowed the $2.99 to get rid of the ads. I got charged and the ads stayed. Now what? I contacted Apple and they said I can get a refund, but I love this calculator. I contacted the developer and haven’t heard from them. Five stars for the app and zero stars for the developer. Updated review: They responded to my problem quickly and fixed it! Five stars for the app and the developers response time.

I think overall this is a good calculator app that works well and has little to no bugs, but it has two aggravating issues. 1st isn’t a big deal but just is a little aggravating which is that when you open the app it opens as an all black screen with a tiny calculator in the middle and stays like that for up to 3 seconds sometimes 2nd is I’m extremely frustrated that I paid for the full non advertisements version of this app and it still has advertisements in it. Granted you have to click the little “i” icon to launch the advertisements but it is conveniently located right next to the drop down arrow which I use often to look at older calculations iv done and so frequently (because I don’t have tiny fingers) end up hitting the “I” icon which brings me to a whole different page that is (you guessed it) advertisements, lots and lots of advertisements... I really wish at this point I could get my money back for the paid version of this app.

When doing the same operator with a fixed number you have to tap the enter key twice now. Example converting mm to inches you divide by 25.4 and press Enter. Then all you had to do is enter a mm number and press Enter. Now you have to tap the enter key twice. Now when you add a number to memory it does not clear the display like it used to. This is still my favorite calculator. Thank You, Don

I am an engineer used to HP’s reverse Polish notation for 40+ years. I would gladly give 5 stars if you make this calculator available in reverse Polish notation. The calculator is really good in that it has all the scientific functions and big buttons. You can also verify your calculations by checking if you have typed correctly by reviewing history. I bought the pro version so that I don’t have to deal with the annoying ads.

I would add another star if various creative skins were available. Also another star (for a total of 5) if the tabulations showed on the tape as you do calculations instead of only after you hit the = key and instead of across the display above the numerical keys. Yet another star if common conversions were available e.g. inches to cm, cc’s to quarts, km to miles, Fahrenheit to Celsius, etc. Overall, though, a good calculator.
