Only One

Only One takes the cake, and that is not a lie. I used to play quite a few IOS games; out of all of them, I remember this game the most, and now that I have hardly any time to play games any more I still play this one. The arcade style game play makes it easy to spend a few minutes here and there de-stressing with some hack-and-slash action; the retro graphics, music, and sword-and-sorcery theme take me back to all the paperback sci-fi / fantasy novels I read as a kid, and overall the pacing and level-based incentives of the game make every moment worthwhile. I would highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun time, whether it be just for a few moments, or for an all-night marathon with your friends. Now: I’m gonna keep playing this game for as long as it’s out there, and I think it’ll always be a rewarding experience regardless of whether new features continue to be added; that said, I’d be somewhat disappointed if it were to be abandoned as a project. My thoughts on new features include maybe allowing another game mode where the character moves as far as they can down a corridor fighting enemies, or perhaps more power options like a chain lightning type deal or an enchantment effect that can make enemies fight one another. Regardless, thank you so much for this wonderful game! I hope it continues to receive the praise and support that it so richly deserves.

Only One is a fantastic game and one of my favorites of all time. I have known about it since I was a young lad, and recently, as a Senior in high school have renewed my love for it. I love how the story is simple yet ambiguous, and little easter eggs like the cake and the Dark Knight with the same sword as you leave a lot for the player to imagine for themselves. The difficulty is quite possibly the best part. Especially for those without ultimate power, the reward for reaching and beating wave 100 makes the hours of gameplay so worth it. (learning the intricacies of how the enemies work, using the daily sacrifice to wipe out an entire wave late game, etc.) I have tried speed-running the game as a free to play player, and managed to beat it in 4 days time- playing 1-2 hours a day. In the future, I hope to get even better at it and possibly even stream or something haha. The replay value is also not to be taken lightly. Purchasing ultimate power and running through the game over again, and seeing how far you can get in endless mode is also really fun. If there was a couple things I would suggest, it would just be to add more of everything! I seriously think this is truly a great game that deserves a lot more attention.

this is literally the best game I've ever played on a apple product! The premium stuff isn't OP like other games when you pay for it. It's actually well balanced. For every purchased character bonus you get, you also get a negative effect. The ninja for example,(I own the ninja) has +10% movement speed and +20% attack speed, however, he gets -3 shields, so shields are basically useless to the ninja, but he is very fast. The ultimate power it totally worth every penny! This developer is a nice guy, he says thank you every time to buy something. A very touching moment when you support him.😘

I grew up in the 80’s/90’s and this game takes me right back to the glory days of gaming! Exciting midi music, old-school arcade style voice overs, tons of stages, multiple enemy types with their own abilities and weaknesses, a variety of cool special abilities that take time to earn and bosses with lots of hit points where you have to figure out their pattern in order to defeat them. You can and will die, but don’t worry, every 10th level is a checkpoint, so you can continue where you left off with all your loot and abilities, or replay levels for more loot! PLUS, You can get everything you need to succeed in-game, WITHOUT spending any real $. Plus no ads!!! Even though you play on a circular platform without any side scrolling, with very basic graphics, it’s still a very exciting, well thought out, fun game that requires strategy and timing to win. A must have! Totally worth your time! High replay value! Get this game! It’s retro perfecto!!!!

The game is great, if you're looking at this to justify getting it then go ahead and get the game, just I've experienced this glitch that happens again and again where the joystick will stop working, you can pause and unpacked but you should probably just restart the game, the glitch will pretty much kill you anyways. Make sure you check when this comment was written because I'm betting the dev will fix this soon.
