Note To Self Mail

Once in a great while along comes an App that pushes others aside in its absolute simplicity and utility. Note to Self Mail is that - its pushed Drafts and other workaround hacks off of my front page. It gets used a dozen times a day. Need to make a quick note to avoid forgetting something. Done! Need to speak a brief idea verbatim and make sure its not lost. Easy. You're on a web-page in iOS and just need to send the link to your inbox for later research. Literally one touch. t uses your actual email send service so its secure (unlike some others), and its massively flexible (e.g. hold down the send button to send to a contact other than your default). Its extremely discrete (app closes after sending, returning you to where you started), its massively flexible (send sketches and photos etc), its a one off cost so beyond reasonable. It is essential for all busy GTD type folk trying to create a secure easy capture of all the things that come up during a day, or indeed anyone juggling lots of priorities and requests and items. Love love love this.

I’ve intensively searched apps that sends an email to yourself, and my previous choice was Captio, which went out of development after iPhone X series. This app does what it says-email yourself super fast, with your own SMTP accounts for privacy. Add the pro version and I can rapidly fire emails to me, add tasks to OmniFocus or Things 3, and send files and photos from the share sheet. I recommend this app to try out its features, and go pro if you need-or it does pretty much just with the free version.

This app has 100% nailed it on the feature set I was looking for. I’m a developer myself and the author has crafted this app to be precisely the way I’d do it myself. Clean, simple, effective. Does exactly what you’d want with the absolute minimum clicks. Truly perfection. I don’t give 5 Star glowing reviews like this, but the author totally deserves it. Buy this app. No question, just do it.

This app does exactly what you want without trying to get cute or trying to force a bunch of useless features on you. Refreshing to see an app be useful, simple, and not bloated with things you don’t need. 5/5.

I’ve been emailing myself for quick notes. At best a kludgy process. This app simplifies it. One tap to open, type your message, click send and it’s gone, returning you to your previous work.
