When using multiple devices the interface is small and difficult to click because of size. I would recommend that the devices be on the same screen as the favorites but show in a way that you can scroll through the devices. The firmware doesn’t automatically update as it should even though settings have update firmware set to ON (ticket submitted). Also the auto open (just drive) function is nice but seems to open without warning, randomly. I think it is because gps signals wonder. Using two Nexx devices to control my front gate. One that open/closes and the other I have wired to lock Open for certain days for a set schedule. Love the product, it has a slick interface and family sharing is a great feature. Little more work will take this off the chart. PS. Customer service is very well done with an automated ticket system that can be viewed by customers, including a way to leave comments and feedback on correspondence with all communications. Would highly recommend.

If you get this app from the green older version Nexx Garage, you may want to remove your device and add it back on to the new blue version Nexx Home. Logging off and back on is recommended. The app allows you to remotely open/close garage door and see the status (open or closed). Reminder is nice but nothing spectacular. Auto open or just drive is a good idea but doesn’t work reliably, especially for shared user (spouse or others in the family that use garage). Customer service or tech support is actually decent. Not sure how many people reach out when they run into issues. If not for the support of IFTTT, I would probably rank it lower. Search Nexx Garage in IFTTT. It works. Native integration with Google and Alexa is not great. Using IFTTT, you can create your own phrases for Google home voice control. I believe Echo or Alexa would work the same way. Also, scheduled open/close, auto open/close, and other automations can be achieved. Wish Nexx can add support for Home Kit.

Overall...I think the app functions well. Manually opening and closing hasn’t failed me yet. Sometimes the auto open feature doesn’t work. It’s usually when my phone is only on the lock screen and not active. So...to say that the feature works when the app is in the foreground or background so true but...not 100% of the time. Maybe they developers can tweak that function a little more for the next update. I haven’t tried the watch app so I can’t speak to its effectiveness or usefulness but I would, very much, like to see some car play integration. After all...it’s a car related app. Generally speaking, I’m pleased with the app and the product.

I had the original app, for about a year, and it worked fine. Very similarly to the other reviews, got a message about the need to upgrade and since, the functionality has been disastrous...such as very unreliable, the app sometimes doesn’t open, and I cannot open the garage door without the automatic garage door opener, which unfortunately I removed from my car! The auto open function, as mentioned in other post as well, is at best 10% functioning...I think playing the slots, although lowers odds, is more rewarding! I would not recommend this device, nor the app! Clearly there are more reviews of its poor functionality than workability....I’ll be researching for a more reliable device.

I’ve had this app since my wife bought me the Nexx Garage unit for Christmas and it works really well. We always had a problem with the kids leaving the door open all night, but now I get an alert if it’s been open for more than 15 minutes. I started off with the “green” app and have updated to the “blue” app. Honestly, I don’t know why some people are complaining about the upgraded app. It’s much better. Just set things up properly. No complaints here.
