Nephrology On-Demand Plus

The medical community has embraced social media as a tool for education as well as networking purpose. Rarely have I come across an app that encompasses so much information with such a user friendly interface. Nephrology on demand plus is a one stop shop for all your nephrology questions as a resident, and an excellent review tool even as a fellow. Easy to maneuver links to write ups, videos with succinct information is a strength of this app. It also has a tool that lets you create your own scrapbook for fellowship search. In doing so, the author has ensured that the privacy of the user will be kept strictly confidential. Even though I'm not a nephrologist, this app will come handy as questions of the kidney arise in general medical or other sub specialty practices. Thumbs up from my side!

Nephrology On-Demand Plus is a fantastic app for the busy nephrologist, fellow-in-training or anyone caring for patients with kidney disease. Additional improvements have been made with each update. Most notable is the incorporation of the latest evidence-based medicine calculators that make this app a must have. The calculators are easy to use and are updated with the latest risk formulas. Additionally, the app integrates discussion of emerging literature with journal clubs, the Kidney Konnection newsletter and Journal Watch. NOD Plus continues to improve with each update. I would recommend this app to anyone who cares for patients with kidney disease.

This app is a great reference and educational tool for people interested in nephrology. The app is run by a nephrology program director and has some features specific to his program, but also has features useful for medical students, medicine residents, residents applying to nephrology fellowships, fellows at other programs, and nephrologists. Nephrology On-Demand also has twitter, facebook, and a website with great educational material and I'm very excited to have access to this material in an easy to use app.

Excellent app for internal medicine physicians. Some of the best features of the app are educational content is evidence based and uptodate . For all nephrology related -clinical trials, research , study publications and current guidelines for treatment I find this app extremely useful . Has several resources and user friendly interface makes it easy to access them . If I miss any internal medicine grand rounds I can watch them online anytime .Highly recommend . 5 stars !!

Had the chance to work with Dr. Desai personally, and his app is a perfect reflection of his teaching style. Methodical and straight forward, the app does a great job of explaining all things renal in the clinical setting. It also has some really useful evidence-based calculators for medical management. For all those med students out there, use this during your nephrology rotation and you will sound more like a fellow than a student.
