Navy BMR

Due to my massive load of responsibilities and my current chaotic lifestyle. I realized that the old style way of studying it doesn’t quite fit in my schedule. Also After missing advancement by a substantial amount I realized that maybe my way isn’t doing enough. But knowing that no matter where I go I always have my phone with me I tried downloading this app. I figured “why not?” And in doing so I can get so much studying without the headache or hassle of “finding time”. I can scroll through while at work, in traffic, and on the commode. When I can’t sleep at night I can easily pick up the phone and scroll through without having to find books or study material. I don’t have to turn on lights or ever worry about forgetting anything because it’s all compact in the app. It’s amazing! It made me realize how convenient having a phone is. And it also give me a better feeling about the upcoming exams in my future. I’m so grateful for this new found glory and excited to become one of your higher ranking petty officers because of it. After about a couple of attempts to make First Class and countless attempts between Third and Second Class, a friend suggested that I check out this app. I was a little reluctant at first however, I figured what do I have to lose? Nothing!! So I downloaded the Navy BMR app and jumped right into studying. I would study about an hour or more at a time on each specific topic at a minimum of once daily. To make a long story short, not only did I advance to First Class, I improved my score by 15+ points. I stand by this app and I encourage everyone to utilize this app. Plus the new updates to the app with the multiple choice and 50/50 option and the game style study method is amazing. It’s just different from the traditional read and take notes studying we’re all probably used to. Download it I promise you won’t regret it besides, what do you have to lose!?

The navy BMR app is really simple to use. The flash cards are a very helpful tool. I go through the flash cards with my division once a week. The month prior to the exam we went through flash cards everyday day during quarters. It is perfect to use when you are on-the-go. You literally can pull your phone out and study where ever you are. The navy BMR website is VERY useful as well. It gives you direct links to the PDF files that are associated with your rating Bibs. Which you can always download to your iBooks app if you have an iPhone. Then read them any where you go. The navy BMR website and app helped me with making EM3. I will definitely use it again to hopefully make EM2 on my first try. Once you learn how to use it you will make intellectual gains in no time. 💪🏽🤓🙌🏽

I have been using NavyBMR since 2010 and the study guides always either got me promoted or missing it by 6 this last time instead of 30. The layout is easy to use and the benefits of the NavyBMR podcast on Podbean while driving help me prepare for this exam let’s see how well I would do. I wish I would have known about this when I first came into the Navy I’d probably be a chief by now. If I could say something about it is that it is ever changing and adding other avenues of approach to study for more convenience. If you don’t want a paper hard copy they have a pdf version. If you want to do spaced repetition they have an app for that, or if you want to go on a 17.5 hour drive and you can’t read a book they have a beneficial audio section or podcast. Listen I wanna start off by saying that I never take the time to write a review about anything unless I’m absolutely in love with it or I absolutely hate it this app just happens to be one of the things I absolutely hate. In my personal opinion I think this was a complete waste of not only my time but money. The app closes on me at random times it also doesn’t offer enough information about the bibs as far as getting questions for my rate. I thought this would help because I thought reading bibs straight from the pub was just too boring for me but honestly after purchasing this app I was so disappointed because like I said it was a waste of my money and I ended up going back into a Pub and just reading off that. It might just be based off your Rate because I see that a lot of people really enjoy this app but for me personally it just didn’t make the cut. I would personally never re-purchase this.
