myTuner Radio - Live Stations

If you love your IHeartRadio then your simply going to love this one. A friend asked to look at my phone and while checking out this app said she quit counting my favorites after 400. I enjoy listening to radio stations all over the country and also going abroad to Australia and Ireland and even up to Canada. Funny story: I'm walking through a grocery store listening to KYGO (Denver, Colorado) and didn't realize my phone volume was loud enough for others to hear. I was about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh where we were expecting a dusting of snow while Denver was expecting 10-14 inches of the white stuff. In the next aisle I can hear a woman telling someone what she just heard and I never did find out who she was but by the time I got to the checkout two people in line with me were talking about the forecast for Denver. Once I told them the truth and showed them this app we all laughed and one of them immediately downloaded this app.

I have been searching for a radio app that would tune in stations from all over the world. And not just music stations, but also news and talk radio. After much frustration, having downloaded and tested several apps, I finally discovered My Tuner. This is just like having a short-wave radio, but better! The reception is crystal clear, unlike the days when you had to search the bandwidth in hopes of getting a strong signal, or having to listen at certain times of the day or night to get reception. The app is organized to allow you to select by genre, city or country, or genre within country. And best of all, it’s free! Looking forward to hours and hours discovering new stations. It truly is a small world after all.

The radio stations local to me rarely satisfy what I would like to listen to. Fortunately I remember stations from other areas I have visited that I enjoyed listening to while I was there. Now, thanks to myTuner, I can listen to those stations whenever I wish! Classic Country stations are particularly difficult to find locally, but with myTuner, I can listen to"The Legend", WSM in Nashville, any time I wish! Same with some syndicated talk shows. The local stations may not carry them, but now I can still listen any time I wish! And, best of all, I have found the app works really well. Thank you for an outstanding and free app!!!

I have used MyTuner for a few weeks now, after looking up the most popular radio applications on the App Store. I love the variety of stations included on the app, especially the ability to listen to global radio, as well as the user interface and the ability to mark favorites and create an account. The only negative aspect I would cite, however, is the inability to remove pop-up ads with “X” marks in the upper right corner of the screen. I have an iPhone XR and have been unable to remove these ads. While I respect the role advertisements play in a free app, being able to “X” out of these pop-ups would greatly increase my user experience. I would be able to see the music of an artist that is playing, without having to quit the MyTuner app, reenter and again click on the station dock, on the bottom of the screen. I would appreciate if anyone else would comment, should they have this same, or a similar issue. Also, if the developers could address this challenge in future releases, that would enhance my view of the MyTuner app and my experience listening to radio stations with it.

It has practically every radio station offered in the United States and some outside of the u.s. I don't like how the app now throws an add right in the middle of the song. It actually mutes the radio and plays their 1 to 2 adds. It happens more on certain radio stations than on others. it doesn't happen so often to become too annoying. But it really throws you off when you are really into a song that is on and it suddenly stops and plays an ad for feminine cleansing soap and then a progressive insurance comes on. I wish there was a feedback area for the app because I would tell them what I think of their terrible ad timing.
