HOW IT WORKS Music Journeys™ selects which music to play from your iTunes® or Apple Music® library in real-time based on your location, on distance traveled, or on elapsed time...selecting from your personal playlists, curated Apple Music playlists, or individual songs. This is the perfect app to add an entirely new dimension to your drive, run, walk, bike ride, train journey...no matter how you travel! CURATE YOUR OWN MUSIC EXPERIENCE Music Journeys is a blank creative canvas for you to “paint with music.” Whether you want to keep it simple and build a Journey for your daily drive to work or school, or weave a complex tapestry of music for an upcoming road trip, you can do it! You can even play different music based the day of the week or time of day! - Inspire yourself with different music as you reach different milestones on walk or a run - Enhance daily commutes with different music automatically played for each day of your week - Cruise around and enjoy different music depending on your surroundings - Craft a unique soundtrack for your scenic drive - Ride-share drivers use it in tourist areas...theme parks, beach areas, and historic regions...to create a unique rider experience. Better tips! - Use Siri Shortcuts to effortlessly begin your experience ("Hey Siri, Morning Drive Journey", "Hey Siri, Relaxing Walk Journey", etc.) Your experience begins with Places — spots on the map where you want a certain type of music to be played. When you cross a certain point or enter a Place, the Action you’ve chosen for that Place happens. Actions do things like shuffle a playlist, play a song, fade out music that’s currently playing, and more. Places can be created from scratch, by starting with one of the 100+ Places included for select areas, or by importing Places shared with you by friends! Places can be simple, or you can make them more elaborate by creating Variations that play different music under certain conditions. For instance you may choose to shuffle one playlist between 7:30 and 8:30 on weekdays when you leave home for work, and on the weekends music with a whole different feel could play when you leave home. You could create a Variation that will play different music when you return to a Place on a round trip or even do something different after sunset. Or you can choose to keep it simple and not use Variations at all. Places get grouped into Journeys created by you, imported from those included with the app, or shared from a friend! When you launch a Journey, only the Places you have selected for that Journey will appear.
