The ‘New’ category was removed in the Browse section earlier this year, and hasn’t come back, which has fundamentally changed how I use the app and made me buy less products and have less orders. (Others tell me the same). The app itself is superb but that one small category made all the difference. It seems the Ocado app retains the ‘New’ section and is virtually the same in all other regards so I’m finding myself shopping there more often as a result. Everything else about the app is now stable and simple and a pleasure to use but this one small change has removed most of my ability to shop as I once did on Morrisons because product discovery is key to a broad shopping experience.

Love this app against all others out there, easy to use, has all your price per kg weight etc so you can smart shop. Lists all your deliveries. Love the one click to add to any delivery. Love how it tells you if your about to miss a promotion if you’ve only put one in the trolley. Hardly ever a substitution and it’s always suitable. I can’t give it 5 stars though after using this service since it went live you still don’t have items to purchase that are in every one of your supermarkets every day!!! Example packets of angel delight.. you only have your brand online. Recently you introduced the ready made pots. There are many other things as well. I have fed back to your staff online and over the phone so many times over the last 3/4yrs you loose a third of the years shop because I’m walking into Aldi and buying other things. My friends are the same, come on Morrison’s you do a great job stop losing trade over something stupid on the app that is sold in all your shops.

I get frustrated with this app because when viewing my favourites (which forms 99% of my weekly shop) they are in a seemingly random order. So I’m going through my favourites whilst ordering, and I get to a packet of cereal. This then prompts me to think of the other 3 packets of cereal I need to order. But none of them are next to each other in the list of favourites. So I have to try and remember the other cereals I need to add whilst the list of favourites jumps from bread to salad leaves to coffee to Persil. And by the time I’ve got to them in the list I’ve forgotten I need to buy them! All I ask for is that the items in my favourites are ordered in a logical way. In the same way that a supermarket aisle groups the same types of items together. Because this is how we shop, it’s how our brains work. There is a reason that supermarkets are laid out they way they are. Please just get the app to do the same with favourites!

Been working fine for ages but the last week or so I’ve been getting the same green screen someone else mentions. It seems to be a “notifications” question as I’ve tapped the right button and got a garbled pop up. However if you tap the left button then it clears the green screen and you can go about your shopping as usual. Obviously there’s a glitch but a workaround is possible. The app usually works wells and I’m glad you’ve kept the “same brand” option that ocado has removed. Would be nice to have better offers though as they’re usually the same.

Just to let you know that if your app says they don’t deliver to your area but you can on the website, it’s because the app is processed through a customer fulfillment center and not a shop. So the CFC maybe too far to deliver to you, whereas the store is close by. The website orders are from your local store. Some areas have now changed from a CFC delivery to store delivery so you will no longer be able to use the app when you was able to before. Hope this helps
