Mirror ◎

I like Mirror. A lot. But if you could please add just these two features, it would be *perfect* - and a fantastic tool for screencasters: 1. A setting to flip the image horizontally. I know it's supposed to be a mirror but I use it for screencasts because it's so uncluttered. Unfortunately if I have to show a document the text is reversed. :-/ 2. A touch gesture to hide ALL on-screen controls. Mirror is already the closest I could find to a full-screen camera view, but you still have a few buttons. If I could (say) touch the top right quadrant of the screen to hide/show camera controls I'd be extremely happy. Thanks for a great app. Well worth the ad-free upgrade price.

Finally, a simple app that works as a mirror AND lights up so you can see what you’re doing. The zoom function is a nice touch and it also works as a camera. Perfect when you’re away and need to apply make up etc etc I’ve been looking for something like this for ages and was happy to pay to upgrade to lose the pop up ads. Only glitch is sometimes the light stays on when you come out of the app, making my phone a glowing beacon. Hopefully this is something fixable as I often have to restart my phone to get it to stop glowing ⭐️

Got this to use instead of a handbag mirror, so as to carry less clutter around. 2 downfalls to this app. First, the resolution is lousy and I can hardly make out the outline of my lips. Not fit for purpose for make up application. More annoying though is the sudden animated ads that randomly pop up. This means, in the middle of applying lipstick, I suddenly can’t see my face because the screen has an animation running across my entire iPhone 7 screen. Have to wait 60 seconds for it to finish, put down lipstick, close the ad by pressing a cross, pick up lipstick ... then the whole saga starts again. Useless for my purposes, so deleted after 2 goes.

Don’t get me wrong, I like this app, and I would otherwise pay for it, but I think the ads are too intrusive and quite literarily in your face just at the exact time you don’t want it. I would of preferred just ads at the top or bottom and perhaps limitations on functionality such as no zoom. But no, you whip it out your pocket for that emergency mirror and suddenly are greeted with a face in the mirror that is not yours. I find this too pushy and for that reason alone I would never pay for any kind of premium version of this app.

I don’t know how anyone can rate this as good or useful in any way. It’s exactly the same as just bringing up the camera and reversing the lense (as when taking a selfie) and like so many others have stated, the resolution is atrocious. There are a million different reasons for needing a mirror, and quite a lot of those are because you need close up viewing (contact lense adjustment, make up application and if you have something in your eye to name but a few) this app renders all of these actions impossible because it has the grainy resolution of a piece of carpet!! And, apart from the fact it is not fit for purpose, it has RREEAAALLLY annoying ads which suddenly erupt and take over the whole screen, and they have the Liberty to expect you to pay to remove them. Please heed the warnings and do not bother to get this app. I’m sure the positive reviews must be fake, or paid for. Utterly useless, completely rubbish app
