It will play midi and Kar files sent from Safari directly. The sounds can be very good. If the files have a lot of instruments, the timing of playback gets messed up. If you play say 20 midi files in a row, the playing gets messed up. This is probably a memory leak in the programming. It could be better, such as exporting songs or individual tracks to files or other programs, or keeping track of where the midi files were downloaded from, or direct browsing of files on web, direct access to iPhone files, etc. File management is lacking. Also, some instruments are way out of tune. Otherwise, I found it very useful, and you get what you pay for. The app os much appreciated. Thanks for making it.

My goal was to load MIDI files and play them to a MIDI out device. Simple app, primitive UI, but does the job. My biggest beef is that it should have integration with iOS “Files”, and doesn’t. I’d downloaded a lot of MIDI files for use with GarageBand, and had to download them again into MidiOnStage’s data space to use them there.

Sometimes, all you want is a simple MIDI file player with a tiny footprint...and this app fits the bill perfectly! This app allows you to quickly load MIDI files from your library, with an easy interface that shows 16 MIDI channels at once. Each General MIDI instrument track has its own metering with volume control, as well as solo button...and you can click on each instrument icon to mute. The Song page has controls for Tempo & Transpose adjustments, etc...and everything works as expected, with no discernible issues. I seriously appreciate not having to open a big ol' DAW, just to audition and sort through a bunch of MIDI files!

It was working until I upgraded to iOS 13, now I can not put midi songs to it
