Merge Plus 2:Adventure

This is a great game and I find myself coming back to it over and over again. I am only giving 4 stars though because, even if you pay to take away adds. You still have to deal with a window popping up every two seconds that you don’t take a turn, offering for you to watch a video to receive a hammer. It basically spams the game if you take your time to be strategic with your moves. I suggest doing one pop up and then having a reminder on the side. If this gets fixed, I will fix my review to give 5 stars. Thank you. I do love the game. I just don’t love the spamming for that.

I just downloaded the game today and I’m about to delete it after this review. I was having a good time getting to level 10 and then the ads started popping up after every single level. My phone screen timed out because I had a string of matches and once I turned the screen back on another ad popped up. I even clicked on one of the ads to get them some revenue in hopes that it would slow the ads down but instead the same as kept playing. It’s not that they have ads it’s the way the ads are set up, they are videos that you have to watch the first 5 seconds of before you can stop them and I’m not on WiFi because I just bought this house and don’t have internet yet so I’m trying to preserve data. All that to say, I didn’t even get to experience the freezing and glitches everyone else experienced because the game is just too add heavy and greedy, it was fun though, I’m going to look for another math game that makes me think like this one did.

The game is relaxing and fun! Also stimulating enough to help me stay awake during mid-night baby feeding. ONE thing I find extremely annoying: if I stop to think about where to play the next block, I get a pop up asking if I want to use a tool to finish the level. It totally interrupts game play and personally, I don’t think it’s fun to use the “helpers.” I looked for an option in the settings to turn it off, but there isn’t one. Leave me alone and let me think! Some people may like it, so removing it altogether isn’t practical. Having the option to turn it off would be excellent! Secondly: the app almost always freezes on the lucky spin screen. I never even get to spin because I have to force-close the app. Not quite so lucky, huh? I’m happy to change my review once these aggravations get fixed.

The energy update is a buzzkill! Why would you force your players to “take a break”? This not only cuts down on your ad revenue but it means that your habitual players are now looking for another game they can replace this one with. Forcing players to quit the game means they are creating revenue for other games/apps when they could be playing yours. I don’t mind the ads as most people complain about. They are relatively short and I can still maintain momentum strategizing how I’m going to approach the level again. As for a development team, you should listen to your supporters. Why change something that’s already good?

This game was really great. I had it for about 2 months and got up to like level 500 on it. I used to play it all the time during my commute to work and back. The game started sucking when they added the energy system. The creators already make so much money off the VIP subscriptions and the ads and the diamond system. The energy system made it so that you can only play 5 games at a time then it forces you to wait 30mins to be able to play another game. This was better before. I recommend people to just play another number merger type game. This is not worth it anymore. Completely disappointed.
