ConnectED is a hot mess. It is buggy and not reliable. I am the Director of Technology for a K-12 private school with three campuses. We have a 1:1 iPad program in 3-12. Of all the publishers I use, McGraw Hill’s digital offerings are 2nd to worst. Pearson is worse, but not by much. After almost two years, this app finally has an update, but they didn’t include split screen support. Our students constantly loose the highlights and notes they put in their digital textbooks. We have moved away from McGraw Hill due to their lack of digital support. We tried some of their new titles with the new ConnectED, but they are worse. I only have three courses that are still using McGraw Hill and we are looking to go with new titles next fall due to both the terrible digital support and sub par technical and sales support. From the IT side, the deployment of the digital titles is overly complex. It is too bad, the actual titles are not too bad. However, if a publisher cannot live in the digital world, we will move on without them. If you are stuck needing to use this app, don’t count on your highlights and notes. No real split screen support either.

Just like most school-related apps, this app is a mess. It’s incredibly buggy, uses an ancient design language, the web client is a complete joke, and it’s just overall a terrible user experience. This app really needs to be refined by people who actually know how to design an app. When you search for a word or phrase, instead of it telling you just what page it’s on, it should highlight where the text that you searched for is in the page.

The title of this review pretty much says it all. I have used this app during my Biology class in 11th grade, and there are just too many bugs and missing features (compared to the online version) to deal with. The UI is clunky and non-user friendly. I would consider using the online version of ConnectED if you are forced to deal with this sorry excuse for an educational tool. Rating: 1/10 (Stay Away)

This app is so poorly made, with very few working functions and a million that don't work. This should be shut down due to its poor reliability, when we downloaded this for use in our schools it kept buffering for hours. Just forget this book in general and save yourself the money. They can take a hike!

When I log in, the app only allows a certain amount of characters for the password field. That limit is higher on the PC version of this. Since I entered a password longer than what this app allows, I can’t even log in. Update this to allow more characters for passwords.
