LHR London Heathrow Airport

The app is pretty good . I store my flight details when I fly through Heathrow and I get regular updates on my gates for departure . This is ideal as I don’t have to keep looking at the TV screens in the airport and is helpful if I’m shopping too much and the alert arrives . The app is good to have the Heathrow rewards card and can be used for our purchases . Overall a good app well done !

This is an annoying app. It constantly prompts you to turn on notifications. I gave up being “notified” of all sorts of things so turned off notifications . you’d think that turning off notification inside the app and within iOS would be a strong enough hint, but no, the app will ask again and again, then you get to “skip for a while”, then you guessed it, a few days later, the app asks you to turn on notifications. The “reminders” aren’t subtle either. As a frequent flyer this is one of the most annoying travel apps out there - give it a rest Heathrow, if I don’t want to be notified can’t you leave me alone? I spend alot of money in your car parks, at the shops and as I’m flying from your airport you get to charge the airline all sorts of fees. Can’t you just leave me alone for a wee while?

I tried to check the status of an incoming flight on two separate days and the app just says; sorry, we can’t find that flight. The flight in question was Qantas flight QF1 from Sydney, so not exactly a new airline or destination, but one that runs daily, and has done for years. On both days of checking I couldn’t get it to give me an answer. You can of course trawl though the endless lists of flights under the arrivals or departures heading and waste time- but what’s the point of it giving you a search option to narrow it down if it doesn’t work? I googled another site in the end and got the information I needed much quicker. The app needs simplifying again because it’s too cluttered and annoying. Why does it want my location? I only want to look at flight status for goodness sake.

Used to be one of the easiest and useful airport flight checking apps. As a professional “airport transfer” company, we would set up our flights for next 3 days (on a rolling basis). NOT NOW! Latest update has wrecked the usefulness of the app. A total waste of money for BAA. Why fix something if it ain’t broke and customers (in the majority, not the occasional moron) find it useful?

The Heathrow arrivals app , is the worst of all the flight arrivals apps on the market at the moment. It has become very slow and unnecessarily complicated over the years I’ve been using it . Even feeding it the correct information on flights is no guarantee that you’ll get response information you require. It often states that it has no record of that particular flight, yet you can go to any other app and get the response you require, inputting the exact same information! The people running this app need to get their app together! Pardon the pun !! Steve Bull
