Lexis Audio Editor

I was looking for an intuitive app to fade in/out some mp3s I’d recorded. Surprisingly it was easier said than done until I found this app. I didn’t really want to pay $10 just for one effect and the fact this app has so much free functionality is awesome. I was also pleasantly surprised to find myself even doing some basic copy and paste editing- this app is so easy to use. Thank you to the developers! This app is a hidden gem- easy to use, great effects, and full import/export capability in the free version!

No ads and does the work - not a lot of apps like this. What I dont like is the design - not great design. Cutting small segments is hard physically, and if any exactness (correct word in audio, for example) is required then impossible. Very lousy controls. Zoom would help a lot. Rn no zooming at all, you can only see the whole clip across your screen. If you move the marker and press play to hear where you are, it snaps back to zero every time (please fix). Another problem is I can't cut with one end at the start or finish. You HAVE to cut by moving BOTH markers from each end. Otherwise it doesn't work. In short its the only usable free app I could find to trim, but usable doesn't mean easy use whatsoever. If designed better it would be 5 stars

This app has been perfect for editing my podcast episodes. I had recordings in another recording app and I’ve had no problem transferring them. I am continuing to record in the other application, because the sound has less echo for some reason, but it’s so easy to access the files it doesn’t slow down the process. I highly recommend.

I use a recording device daily and wanted something I could use on my iPad Pro that would allow me to clean up the background noise in addition to recording. This worked great for recording and editing. However, I was using the save to the cloud function, saving to my DropBox. Seemed to be working fine until 2-3 weeks later I accessed my DropBox to see all the files were there with ZERO BITES OF DATA! This app only saved a file with the right title. ZERO content!!! I’ve tried saving to the iPad first and then using the app to “move” to the DropBox, same sad result. Some of these files cannot be recreated. Such a disappointment.

Is useful and does what I need but is not comfortable and to convert to mp3 I have to pay. The interface is a bit messy, is empty and the things you use the most are hidden in a menu. I recommend that the most used things like erase, cut, copy, paste, undo, etc, be on the outside instead of being on the menu. Another thing that can be improved is that you can export to mp3 and the other formats that are in the pay version for free watching an ad.
