This app was working OKAY for a while on my 2017 Range Rover Sport. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still baffled why they had to design an entirely “on their own” interface because it has more problems than positives, which is annoying as all hell for a $90k car. That being said, this app worked okay for a bit - could turn my car on, lock it, etc. so did it’s basic needs. NOW, however, it had been saying my car was still on when it wasn’t, a door was open when it wasn’t (which would send me in to a panic making me think I didn’t lock it and/or someone broke in my car and ransacked it). The newest fun addition is that I cannot even use the app anymore. It keeps asking me to “update my notification preferences in settings”, which I do, and then it crashes. Not to mention, it has a myriad of pop-ups on the app that are asking me to put in information/update whatever and I can’t because it’s either blocked by a different one or it crashes. So now, the app is useless and starting my car to get it warm before I head out for work at 6:45-7am, now that its winter - isn’t even available 🙄. I thought maybe it needed to be updated BUT there is no update. So, glad my car has remote start but it’s unavailable to even use 😒

Running the latest update that is supposed to fix errors. I still can not open the app on my phone. It crashes instantly. My watch says my car is on and it’s not!! This is the worst app and feature ever! Landrover Discovery Sport HSELux -2016 iPhone 6 iOS 11 I constantly get booted out of the app and have to log back in by entering email address and password. Where is the touch capability log in; or at least a remember my email and password?It crashes all the time and is unreliable. It takes forever to connect to the vehicle to unlock/start, etc or doesn't work at all. The LR keyfobs do not have a remote start button so your only option is to ATTEMPT to use the app. I found the user/terms agreement on the app, which was helpful. I didn’t realize that after your warranty is out on the LR you have to pay to continue to use the app. 2 years later and the IPhone as well as Iwatch apps are still slow, unreliable and a Joke. I'm not sure it deserves 1 star! This is a rip-off. To my knowledge Apple has not started to make a vehicle. LR should stick to vehicles and utilize Apple’s CarPlay. I'm not sure it deserves 1 star! It makes me wonder if the users giving rave reviews are LR employees or paid for or are possibly a Unicorn. Cmon, Landrover you can do better!

I’ve had a RR supercharged before which was fast and nice but had all kinds of electronic issues, that was like 10 years ago. I Just Recently got a 2017 Cadillac Escalade for my wife with every imaginable option for her and my kids. The electronics and cell phone remote work First time every time in every way!! I also Just got the 2017 Range Rover sport supercharged for myself about a month ago, thinking after 10 years they must have worked all their issues out, especially after grilling my salesman about my past experiences regarding the same. Well, the electronics are buggy at best, the remote app for my iPhone 7 Plus never, ever, ever, works to start the car. There is no voice text, etc. fast engine V5 510 horsepower, looks nice but 20k more for nothing!! POS. Just wish I didn’t have 3 years to go on this lease. How disappointing for more money (almost 100k) and so much less functional!!!! So my advice from life lessons learned, forget the vanity and get what works. Big ego check, I Knew I was passed the insecurities (of needing a premium name vehicle) and liked how the vehicle looked. Anyway, we live and learn!! Hopefully some others will benefit from my experiences. Best of luck to you all!

The app is horrible. I thought it was bad when I kept getting the message that the car was unlocked or a window was open when it clearly wasn’t...but at least i could lock the car and start it ....after way too many clicks to actually start the car. But now I have a new twist....the app says my car is unlocked, clearly false, but now I don’t have the option to lock it and then start it. The “lock” feature is greyed out....so in 9 degree temp for a $90k car, I get into a cold car. How about a 2 click FOB that just starts the car from long distances like other high end cars? Ditch this horrible app & give me 2 clicks on a FOB....at least it’ll work! And I can start my car while in a meeting without alerting everyone that I’m getting ready to leave.... Apparently I can only write 1 review...so I’m adding to this one...after returning to Buffalo from 4 days out of town, I try to start the car remotely as the bus is driving to Long Term Parking....message I get is “......in order to conserve energy the in control system is not available....but will be after u start the car next time....”. I want it stated now because it’s 30 degrees out.....what knucklehead designed this?

I recently purchased a Range Rover Evoque. I was quick to get the app so I could use the same common features I had on my former car, a GMC Acadia. This app is terrible! Never, not once, has it successfully run! My GMC app never glitched and was used daily to start my car and monthly to report diagnostics. I figured with Range Rover it was be a no-brainer that the app would be top-of-the-line. After all, remote apps are pretty basic with today’s technology. NOPE! I emailed customer service to update my ownership. It wasn’t completed properly, so I ended up calling the following day. I spoke with a lovely lady who got everything setup correctly. Excited to try out my new app, I tried remote starting my car. The app would spin and spin, then glitch out and shoot me back to my home screen. I tried again several times over the span of a month or so, while on different WiFi and LTE alone. Nothing works. I contacted the dealership, who informed me that the app works with iPhone 8 and older only. WHY??? Most people able to afford a RR can also afford the latest technology. So with an iPhone XR, I’m out of luck. I’m extremely disappointed by this app and hope a major update is done soon.
