KBC Ireland Mobile Banking

Hi, Latest version of app has issue where long narrative text overlaps with transaction amount meaning it is impossible to read transaction amount. Also latest update which contains layout (narrower) and font changes means long narratives (which container useful information like actual date of transaction at end of narrative rather than settlement date) are being truncated. It would be useful if tapping narrative expanded to show long narratives. Either way narrative shouldn’t overlap with transaction amount. Otherwise good app, pity latest update has introduced these bugs.

Terrible experience so far. It has zero intuitive features, each time I need to second gym uses where to click in order to view history or statements and getting to generation of secure o line key is as tedious as opening a rusty vault. It also does not allow to save my mortgage account as a payee thus every time I make an overpayment I need to add details manually - what a pain !!! The last and the worst: after executing some transfers instead of showing confirmation or receipt screen it takes you back to payment execution screen as if transfer wasn’t completed, then you intuitively check your transfer details and press confirm transfer again.. and then only after a review of your transactions history you can see that the transfer was processed twice! On top of that agents in the call are unable and unwilling to help and keep asking you to call at a different time or asking you to contact other department or saying the system is down etc - stay away if you respect your time and nerves!!!!

The app apparently works just fine, but the build quality is extremely poor. Feels like a primitive app from the olden days. The usability in general is extremely poor. Really bad choice of fonts. Buggy workflows. Omitted text e.g who on earth writes “Fr...” in the heading on a money transfer page? It apparently means “From” (bank account from which the money is being transferred). It’s so faulty to an illogical level that it actually allows the user to choose the same bank account in the From and To fields in the transfer workflow. Haha, I mean a student in their freshman year at any college can make a better app than this, for sure. Really not expected from a bank that feels proud to be digital-first and mobile-first bank. The bank management needs to first realise that their app is crappy, if they want to get in the mindset of improving it. Don’t feel proud to be a mobile-first bank because the mobile app and user experience itself is cringeworthy and embarrassing.

First of all the 2nd day in a row app tells me that there is an issue to retrieve my data and doesn’t show my accounts. 2nd - app doesn’t show pending credit card transaction. In this case if someone stole your card details you won’t notice it unless payment went through (pending transaction can be cancelled, but not approved one). 3rd - I have more then 3 accounts. It is a lot of tab. However, on a top of all tabs is “another bank account” tab. It is not comfortable. I do not need to see this tab above my accounts. What I open the app for is my KBC account. There are more usability issues but all of them are nothing compare to not reliable behaviour described as issue #1. This is banking app. We are in a modern world. If banking app doesn’t work properly, how can I be sure that my transaction are not going through the system full of bugs?

Open KBC accounts is easy and straightforward to use. All maybe done in the app, from checking balances to transferring money to paying bills. The Available Balance feature is a great idea. When you use you card or ApplePay, the transaction is immediately deducted from your Available Balance, and it prevents one from going over limit. Online chat is a very fast method, of getting in touch with an agent. I love my KBC accounts and app. I use the app, almost as much as I use the Facebook app - and that’s a lot!! Well done KBC!! 👏🏻😁
