KAYA: THE CLIMBER’S APP

Found out about this from a friend at my climbing gym. Quick and easy setup, and incredibly easy and intuitive to use. As an avid gym climber, this has really helped me with keeping track of projects, repeats, and overall volume of climbing per session. Great for connecting with fellow climbers as well as sharing footage of sends. Also really love that you can rate each climb individually by intensity, five star system, # of attempts, and any additional feedback or beta you may have. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to connect with their local climbing community and keep track of their progress and accomplishments!

This app rocks! I’ve long wanted to know when new routes/boulders are set at my home gym... so cool to be alerted of the new set and explore the problems and beta before I even get to the gym! Saves me time, let’s me be more efficient. I know what I’m going to train on before I walk through the door... I also love being able to watch others beta, learning from them, seeing the solutions people come up with. I dig being able to track my sessions. Can’t wait for a release that allows for training tracking and outdoor logging! Once that happens I’ll use Redpoint for all my climbing training!

Awesome new app in the climbing space! The app lets you choose your home gym (or gyms) and then track and share your progress with others in the same place. I dig having a new channel to see what other are up to at the gyms I’m climbing in. I also like how logging is much easier because the app shows all of the current climbs at a gym. (Apparently the setters at some gyms are using a companion product as they set to keep an up to date inventory on the climbs in their gyms.) There’s also features for ticklists and circuits, which I’m excited to start incorporating into my training!

This is a beautiful experience to help log your attempts and climbs. I like getting “credit” for my attempts and seeing the entire history of my sent climbs, as well as see my climbing numbers compiled for me. I look forward to future iterations, building on the social component; and understanding beta for like-sized, shorter women, like us. Needs more gyms on the platform, but it’s scaling, and I’m along for the ride!

I've been struggling to log my climbs for as long as I can remember, trying everything from notebooks to Google keep to taking picture of routes, and various other apps. I am so glad the hybrid climbers/engineers made this app a reality. I can finally keep track of the exact routes I climbed at my home gym and have an analysis of what I've been doing (and not doing).
