Just Write - App For Writer

I had gotten this writing app to use while I was in the process of moving and had my actual computer packed away. Since I already used my tablet for drawing, why not also writing? This app makes it super simple to do it all, I actually barely touch my computer anymore. The UI is extremely simple to us and very minimalistic; ads are unintrusive, honestly only ever showing during the file selection screen for me (although I may also just get into a groove and don’t notice anything pop up in the actual document writing). It’s pretty much distraction free writing in a very portable device that, with the help of a Bluetooth keyboard, is a lot easier to travel with. Couple it with the screen splitting function if you like to watch videos and write (like I do), and you’re good to go I only have one gripe with it; themes are only available for .txt files. I work a lot with minimal lighting, so being able to use a dark or color inverted theme is extremely helpful for my eyes. It also helps not keep me wide awake if I’m working late into the night; but .txt files don’t have all the same capabilities that a .rtf file does. Some sort of ability to change the background color of .rtf documents to ease eye-strain a bit would honestly make this my go-to writing platform and I’d honestly move all of my works onto my tablet and solely use it for all of my job.

I have been looking for the perfect app to write all this time, but until now none had the possibility to create folders. For someone who wants to write a novel this is perfect, create your folder and inside you store the chapters one by one, well organized. this was what exactly what I needed. Most of them only allow you to create notes and those that had the possibility of creating folders were only premium so this app is so organized and perfect for anyone who wants to write a book and have everything organized within it. It’s so minimalistic and simple, and free!.

I love how simplistic the app is. Ads are non-intrusive, in fact I hardly notice them at all. It's so simple that it's very distraction-free, and paired with my Bluetooth keyboard, I can get a bunch of writing done without breaking out my laptop. My one problem is that keyboard shortcuts (like Ctrl + A) don't really work, but aside from that, I think it's a great app if you're on the go and don't feel like dragging your laptop along. For something that's free, I totally recommend.

Clean, sleek and refined UI, no frills but not barren of options. It has been my primary go-to app to write for over a while now and I still have no complaints. However, I highly recommend to anyone reading that you use this with your iCloud account. This isn’t a knock against the app, I gave it five stars for a reason, but a friendly reminder that accidents do happen. Phones get lost or damaged.

I found this app as a replacement for JotterPad in transferring from my ASUS tablet to my new iPad, and so far I'm loving the setup! It's very clean and organized, and the folder system is very useful for someone like me who keeps literally hundreds of text files (I don't know why there aren't more apps like this that have the folder system). However, I'm a little disappointed with the fact that you can't import multiple files and/or folders at once. If that feature could be added, this app would get my other two stars.
