InVision - Design & Prototype

Screen as overlay doesn’t seem to work on the app, the overlay gets placed somewhere completely different to the desktop version. Quite annoying for any sort of menu. Otherwise fantastic app!

You pay for a subscription upfront, but if you decide to cancel - be ready for the pain. You can’t cancel a subscription unless all the projects are removed. Manually. Takes 6 clicks to remove one. You have 45 project? Well, good luck. You can’t remove in chunks, should be done one by one. Once removed and “cancel” option becomes available for you - InVision doesn’t want you anymore from the very same second, even though you paid upfront and expect remaining 20 days to work under the same plan you have already paid for! Awful experience. Awful help and support channel. But they gladly will spam your inbox for having a chat to suggest you a “better plan” if you work for a big corporate company

Really wish I could like this app as it is simple and easy to use but there are so many bugs on the ipad that make it a pain to use. It sometimes struggles to differentiate my palm with my drawing on the screen with the Apple Pencil. After adding text with a keyboard, there is no way to change tools (so I need to quit the drawing and return). No way to delete Freehand sketches. Freehand previews never update. No way to partially delete a line and no way to rotate things either. The complaint list is long...

The app doesn’t really work and has been buggy for the last year since I downloaded it. It would be great if it worked as expected and an invaluable design tool, real shame they don’t seem to be able to sort it or realise the importance of it. Also for a company focused on design and interaction, it’s surprising how unintuitive and poorly executed some of the workflows are. Sort it out Invision!

Trying to create an iPad prototype, but any screen as overlay jumps position when viewing on iPad - I think it’s something to do with the retina screen. I have notified the development team of this bug 6 months ago, but it’s not high priority.
