Ink or Swim

Ink or Swim is one of the relatively few well-made games on the mobile market. The game is oozing with charm and character which shows how passionate the developers were about this game. An example being the environments. Every time you unlock a new character, not only do you unlock a new skin, but also a new background. These backgrounds are unique, and a few even have some skins for enemies and hazards. Another example of passion is the title and the style. Unlike most mobile games, this doesn't have some 'Flappy Bird-Crossy Road' clone title, it has a pun, which is great. Also unlike most mobile games on the market right now, the protagonist of the game isn't some ball and other geometric shapes that have no substance whatsoever. It's a bunch of squids and a variety of other marine creatures. I really hope this fantastic game gets more attention. It's clear that the devs put their heart and souls into this, and I really wish they would add a donation feature.

I was very surprised by this game. I heard about it by word of mouth and I expected it to be just another dull app-game. But, it’s got excellent pixel graphics, and simple but very addictive gameplay. But perhaps best of all are the controls. They are super responsive and feel very good. Overall I think if you enjoy the infinite runner genre of games where you see how far you can go at once without messing up, this is a unique take on that type of game. Either way, I think it’s worth checking out.

At first I thought “okay, I’ll like this game and then I’ll lose interest like 2 days later.” NOPE. This game has the most addicting concept and I play it at least like 6 times a day. Wow. May I just suggest that there could be like some powerup (other than the rainbow star) to use to defeat the creatures? That’s it for my review! AMAZING game, so I give it 5 stars!

I am still getting ads after making a purchase. In the game, it says that the purchase of any of the worlds removes ads from the game. But it didn’t work for me. I really hate being interrupted by ads and it makes it even more infuriating because I paid money to get rid of them. Otherwise this is a great game, with charming graphics and really good controls. I like how the jellyfish bounces off the walls and rapidly bouncing off the wall can be used strategically to get through tight areas. I just wish I wasn’t interrupted with ads that I paid to remove.

So, I really like the whole arcade genre on this game but one thing I do think you should fix is when you get clams (the money) to get a new water world, it sometimes gives you a duplicate!! I wasn’t happy about this because you spend your 250 clams on nothing !!you should take out the water worlds you already have so that doesn’t happen. It would be the best game that I’ve ever owned if you just fixed this one thing! Thank you guys for making such an excellent game!
